It was afternoon, closer to dusk actually. It rained before, slightly, making it colder than usual. The ground still damp from the rain, and the air rather fresh and crisp. It's normally not the time for someone to go out, much less a nurse. Normally one would still be assigned to a Pokemon Center and stays there until the morning, the usual night shift, if they're part time job nurse. But even so, this one nurse, let's just say he's not the usual kind of nurse. For one, he just finished all his documentation, and all his transfer of rights of an adoptable Pokemon.
...If the past him could talk to the present him, he would probably asked what is he doing. He's no longer a Challenger of Championship. He's now just a normal nurse. He remembered that even among his Pokemons, there are those who felt that he should still continue his path to Championship because that what his old starter would want after all. But even then... he decided that it's time to retire. He have knowingly betrayed some of those expectation of his Pokemons.
...He wonder what he's doing seriously.
But even then it's not like he's regretting it. His Sirfetch'd, in his last words, told him to live a life that he can be proud of, and be chivalrious. In his mind, this is that path It might be thorny, it might be not something that all of those involved agreed in, but that's what he believes in. Only now that he's in this new place that all of that crashed to him.
While riding his Arcanine, Azur absentmindedly writes on his journal of his first journey in the new land

At last, after a weeks-long plunge into freezing temperatures, things were starting to warm up again southwest of Cerise. The Roch River was flowing again, though small patches of ice covered areas around the river's banks. There were patches where previous accumulations of snow had melted away completely, most of the remaining snow bank along the sides of the road from Rangers' Pokémon cleaning it up. Once the two were far south enough that they wouldn't cause a commotion to people on the outskirts of Cerise, Shalin released the hibernating Queen Zing from her Poké Ball, the Beedrill immediately hugging her and accidentally scratching the friend and trainer with one of her stings. Thankfully, it didn't pierce, and the pain was only more than noticeable for a minute or two. "I know you're excited, but be careful with those stings!"Once the excited bug-type had calmed down and landed, Shalin hopped aboard, gently holding the reins with one hand at a time while popping her earplugs in with the other. "Now, try to go easy with your wings - it's been a while! I'm ready to fly, though!" With Shalin's command, the yellow, menacing-looking sweetheart of a Beedrill started hovering southwest along the road, giving a traveling Arcanine and two human travelers a wide berth as to not completely scare them. --- Azur Schild Kyler Wilton NAME SPECIES LV EP STATUS Queen Zing Beedrill 18 3 Good Caprice Ninetales 21 3 Good Flit Yanma 16 3 Good Kiku Stunky 11 3 Good Levy Milotic 16 3 Good Rielle Vaporeon 16 3 Good{WC: 221} {PC: 1}

Azur thought that it would be a quiet one, but... admittedly sound of a Beedrill's buzzing was absolutely unmistakable. Zeit whined in annoyance at the buzzing noise. Thankfully Azur came prepared. It's not the fault of the rider anyway... Beedrill's buzzing is loud indeed, but he can't really fault either the rider or the Beedrill. Faulting any of them is like faulting someone for running fast in run track. So he casually pulled out a noise cancelling headphone and earplugs for Pokemons. He first attached it to Zeit, and was about to wear one himself when he noted that... he's not really that alone either with the Beedrill rider.
"Oh, greetings," he greeted, his Galarian accent definitely quite pronounced in his voice. "I mean hello. It's sort of hard to get out of your usual habits! Anyway, do you need me to move to the side to give you some room perhaps?"
Sure he's going a bit slow with Zeit, because he's carrying an egg of all thing! But all thing considered he planned to pick up the pace after he's done writing. Which is, thakfully now. He stashed the book away. When he opened his bag, few smells of herb wafted out from it. "Quite a fine afternoon, no? A bit too late for my liking, but a fine one, I feel."
<Azur, should I walk faster?> Zeit asked.
"Naw, you don't have to. Just take it easy, Zeit. Slow trot is fine."
Zeit barked affirmatively. It sure is nice... Now if only he could nap or something

Sky blue hair, a muscular frame, and a Galarian accent...was this Azur? What a small world this was! Shalin thought she would have to go through the process of meeting new friends in Ageos, yet she had run into another old friend! She pulled back on her Beedrill, the oversized bug-type swerving around to face the two travelers before landing and letting them catch up to her. "Long time, no see, Azur!" she waved and smiled, then took her earplugs out so she could hear the tall man properly. "Finally living one of the dreams we talked about before, and it's just as fun as I imagined it to be! How you been all this time?"Both of the traveling trainers were well taller than she was; it was the primary reason she didn't hop off her now-landed Pokémon mount. "And who might you be?" Shalin asked, tilting her head toward the darker-dressed young man. "I'm Shalin, wildest rider this side of Ageos!" she brazenly introduced herself, the Beedrill excitedly flapping her wings fast enough to become a blur yet not deafen her rider's exposed ears. "Boy I tell you what, am I ever tired of winter! Still about a month of it left, too. You also a trainer?"
