Interview Questions
Tell us a bit about yourself. How would you describe yourself?
"To others, they can see me as an artistic novelist. I can't help but write stories based on my encounters, personal life, and more. Though I have a slight reputation of taking interest in any men and women I see. Some say I'm a flirt and some call me a hopeless romantic. Whatever you can describe me doesn't affect me at all. Though all I care is to find the greatest treasures I can procure, namely a story I can call a classic."
His description was a bit exaggerated, though. Sure, he was a writer who has a flirtatious personality. But he's secretly a thief called "Indigo" aiming for the greatest treasures for inspiration and thrill.
Why are you interested in your chosen Class?
Kyle hummed in thought and said, "Just call it a side hobby and self-defense. I heard many wild Pokemon along with those thieves and ruffians who called themselves "Team Epoch" are running amuck in Ageos lately. Also, I don't want to travel here alone, so I want to make sure I have some company in a form of my Sobble during my research trips here."
That was half-true though. He was a criminal aiming to steal some greatest treasures out of enjoyment. Though he wasn't like all of those bandits and poachers that many people considered criminals. No, no, no. He preferred himself as a gentleman thief and stole items out of amusement or to help a person in need. In the day time, he worked as a writer and trainer in his free time.
What brings you to Ageos?
"Nothing much. Though I heard Ageos was known for its... complicated history. However, I am hoping to enjoy the sights and sounds as well as some interesting Pokemon living here. Heck, I might try a Contest or Gym Challenge just to help me inspire more."
In truth, he was here to procure the treasures that Ageos has to offer out of his amusement while gaining inspiration for his short stories and novels. That and he had to get away from Galar's bobbies who already had an inkling of his identity there.
What are your best attributes?
"Ah, my best attributes! A very great question, sir," Kyler said as he stood up and bowed at him. "For once, I have an amicable personality. I have no qualms with whoever I meet. I'm also polite and willing to respect others' privacy if they want to. I may be a ladies' man, but I'm not a stalker. On the subject of that, I'm sympathetic to people and Pokemon alike. Whenever I see someone in need, I come and help them as soon as I can. That includes my enemies and hooligans who may harm anyone. Even if they did some sinful actions doesn't mean I'm not heartless to leave them to their perishable fates. I'll let the law decide their fate."
True, he was also a Criminal, but he wasn't lying. Anytime someone needed help, he would do everything in his power to save them or their Pokemon.
What are your worst attributes?
"Worst attributes? I don't want to disappoint you, but I don't have some of those."
He became silent for a few seconds until he sighed.
"Okay, I do have a wee bit of them. I did mention that I'm a flirt and it's true. Most of my peers call me a philanderer and I can get around with the ladies and gentlemen. Which may get me into a barney or two. And that includes some of the vices that I rather keep it mum for now." He sheepishly chuckled when he admitted this embarrassing habit. "Another note of me is that I don't like loud noises. I do have a preferred taste in music, but any screams, noises, and even that dreadful metal and rock music are enough to drive me crazy. Besides, what's the point of the writer if I end up disturbed by them?"
He didn't want to share this additional detail, but he was also a bit grabby and it was not only gems and treasures he saw. Whether it was an essential or an item he was interested in for his Pokemon, he had to snatch it as a challenge. Though he was able to control this urge, he had to let loose his robbery instincts once in a while.
What was your childhood like?
"It's rather uneventful," Kyler sighed in dismay. "I'm the heir of some hot-shot bloke and most of my siblings were a bit distant from me, to say the least. So you could say I'm a lonely bloke back then. But I can't say I have a melancholy childhood. I'm mostly occupied with novels and textbooks on Pokemon battling and training. So it's a 50/50 memory nonetheless."
How did you get along with family?
Kyler became silent as he hummed in response.
"I did say I was distant to most of them, especially with my father. They acted like I didn't exist and the only reason why my father didn't neglect me was that I'm a bit of a prodigy in my studies. As for my mother, she was the only person who not only acknowledged my presence, but she was the only one who acted as a real family to me. It's a shame that she passed away when I was 16. I still dedicate some of the stories to her as a way to share my gratitude for what she has done for me.
It wasn't a lie. He still missed his mother and despite he was aware she won't be happy with his career as a thief, he genuinely appreciated her love and care for him.
What are your hobbies?
His eyes perked up when he heard a new question as he smiled mischievously.
"I would say writing, but it's practically my job." He gently chuckled wholeheartedly before he regained his composure. "But in all seriousness, reading is my passion hobby. Whether it's a gothic classic or a fantasy epic, I will read them as much as I can. I even started listening to audiobooks in case I have no time to read on the go. It's one of the reasons I've become a writer in the first place. Regarding hobbies outside of my writing interests, I say taking up a gym challenge or a contest is a hobby for me. Besides, I'm not in it to become a champion or a famous Coordinator."
Plus, it might affect his career as "Indigo" if it would happen. He rather kept his job as a writer than a full-fledged pro Trainer or Coordinator.
How do you feel about romance?
"Oh, do I must repeat myself for this question?" He chuckled for a few seconds before he cleared his throat. "I did mention before I have interest with men and women alike. While I casually get around them, I'm not sure if I'm ready for a serious relationship. I'm not impatient about it, so I'll wait until the time comes."
What are your short-term and long-term goals?
"Ooh, that. Well, my goal is to publish my very own bestselling novel. Whether if it's based on my experiences in Ageos or something else, I want my novel to the known as a classic for many ages to come."
As much as he wanted that dream came true, that was just his short-term goal. His true goal was to investigate and steal the greatest treasures of the region based on its history. It would take him a year or so to do so, but he would make sure to steal it as a way to challenge himself as a gentleman thief.
If you could be a Pokémon, which one (or which type) would you be? Why?
"That would be a tough question." Kyler hummed in thought as he tapped on his chin. "But I preferred ones who have some great stealth skills like a Greninja that I heard about in the Kalos region or some Ghost-types such as a Gengar or a Misdreavus. I also have eyes on Psychic-types due to their mysterious abilities. It's just a matter of preferences."
What do Pokémon mean to you?
"To me, they are more than just pets and battling partners. They should be treated as people since they have their personalities, their likes and dislikes, and more. Besides, without them, I wouldn't be so lonely in my childhood. That's why I despise poachers and anyone who would abuse and neglect them."
And that was another detail about him as "Indigo". One of the few things he prohibited himself from stealing was Pokemon and when he witnessed one in danger, he would drop everything including his heists, and try to save it.
Anything else you'd like to tell us before we let you go?
Kyler stood up as he said, "I have nothing much to say. However, I do want to warn you to beware of your belongings. Who knows? Someone might try to take something right in front of you." As much as he wanted to fulfill his warning, he decided against it and grabbed his belongings. "Until then, have a good day."

Writing:
Writing reflects the character's ability to write any kinds of literary medium. From fictional and non-fictional stories to eye-catching articles, they can turn themselves into storytellers or correspondents. The higher the writing skill, the better their grammar and editing abilities they will have as well opening up many genres for them to produce with their pen or keyboard.
Novice: The average person should have a bit of understanding of how to write something from a sentence to a paragraph to make a short story. However, they can leave a few grammar errors and a few plot holes if they plan to write a fictional story. They also have limited knowledge of editing as they still need the aid of someone else who has a decent editing ability.
Adept: At this level of prowess, writers begin to learn the basics of editing, world-building, and character building. They not only create a decent short story but also create a small fictional world behind it and a few extra words that may give a small readership to their article.
Expert: At this level of prowess, writers have a decent understanding of the tropes and plots that help them twist the tales of stories that earns the readers' admiration. They also become experienced world builders as they can build a world filled with locations, lore, and many more with a bit of inspiration. They are also able to edit the whole draft by themselves and ensure that the article, review, or story is readable and eye-catching, although it may take them a while to do so. Some writers at this level will give them a decent number of fans if they have sufficient Fame.
Master: At this level of prowess, characters are now experts in storytelling and journalism. They not only create series of stories from one of the genres that will become bestsellers to the critics and fans alike or an editorial or news that will stop the world in their tracks, but anyone with decent Stamina can write faster and edit them in a matter of weeks.
Superhuman: At this level of prowess, characters are now masters of their craft as they can turn stories and articles into classics that will go down in ages. Also, they are now master world-builders creating worlds from nothing and are now famous journalists that can find juicy stories before anyone can. With enough Fame, they may become known worldwide as a highly-regarded writer.

Features
(Class Feature) Shoplifting: You may attempt to rob the Pokémon Mart of items twice per month. Having a higher Class Rank makes it easier to perform your heist. The more valuable your heist is, the harder it is to perform. Indicate what you are stealing, then Mod Call. If the roll is successful, the items will be added to your inventory. If the roll is unsuccessful, the character will be banned from the Pokémon Mart for two weeks, and the character will not be able to trade items with other characters for two weeks.
Alibi: You have a second identity that makes it difficult to track your fame (or infamy). Non-Ranger characters cannot discern your true identity. Rangers, including NPC Rangers, must make a Charisma roll of 51 or higher to recognize your true identity. Anyone with the player’s permission may also know your identity.
Gainfully Employed: You have an extra source of income. Once per month, you can visit the Payroll Department to claim a paycheck of 300 Pen + 50 Pen per class rank. You are free to describe what you did to earn that paycheck, whether it be through a day job, doing odd jobs, or something more dubious such as pickpocketing, as long as it remains within site guidelines.
Warden’s Start: Raise your Class Skill bonus to +10 instead of +5. Receive a second starter Pokémon, rolled completely at random. Can only be taken at character creation. If retrained, the extra skill points are lost.
