A Momentuous History of Ageos...?
You're in luck it seems. There's no need for any admission ticket to join the crowd, nor there's any need for excessive blending in with the crowd. A dark skinned woman stepped forward to the podium. Her very curly hair is mostly brown, but a lock is highlighted green. Said hair is combed backward and separated into two bundles. She's wearing exploration gear, proud smile on her face.
"People of Ageos, tourist, and press, thank you very much for your participation in this event! My name is Breonne Hawkins. Together with Professor Pear, I have been working closely with Ageos Archeological Institute. I'm honored to stand here today to present our biggest joint founding regarding ancient civilization to date!
Citizen of Ageos, have you ever wondered, as you drive through the routes, the highway, and even the daily routes you take... what are those ruins that happened to be poking out of the plains perhaps? Or what was that structure hidden under the lake you often swim in every summer? Aren't your curiousity piqued from seeing those ruins, waiting to be unearthed? Thanks to the tireless effort of our colleagues and history hungry archeologists, we managed to unearth some artifacts and treasures alike to be shown in this showcase! The event will only stay for about a week before we move to the other city... But we hope during our short stay, we could awaken spirit of adventure in you!
What we have at the moment over here is just a part compared to what we have at the national museum, but even so! I hope this will pique your interest, especially for our future generations, who will one day embark in a journey together with their Pokemon! Unearth mystery of the the region, if so you want! We will eagerly wait for your discoveries! That's all from me! Without awaiting further... today's pop up museum exhibition: Sleeping Giant of Ageos... is open!"
Looks like there's no admission fee, but understandably, the building, which is like a town hall, is guarded by numbers of securities. Each of them have Pokemons with them, mostly Growlithe and Houndour. As for what's inside the exhibition, there are photos of murals, several articles on holographic screen, some jewels and gems... and what's that at the center? It looked like a cane! It's also made of gold and looked very ancient! Bits and pieces already broken, but it can't be denied that it looked very precious...
By the way, of course that have the most securities assigned to it, from laser alarm to camera.

Interaction, amirite?
The scientist looking guy was a bit surprised to be tapped on the shoulder. "Oh wh- Oh! A reporter? Or perhaps a literature writer? I'm not the one who's responsible for digging the artifact myself, but I can offer you some insight on where we found it. At least I'm involved in the fieldwork while at it too. Would that be preferrable? If not, uh, well, unfortunately... he glanced at the side where Breonne and an early teenage looking archaelogist is now being interviewed by many journalist and reporters.
"The guy that you're looking for is that young guy... Uh, he's currently the up-and-coming star in Ageos expeditionary team. Milo Xavier is his name. You might have heard of his parents, the late Caleb Xavier and Rune Xavier... Oh, but if you're not local you probably haven't heard of their name, but they're very famous in Ageos. Just say that they're very famous for kickstarting some major finding in Ageos' Archaelogical Findings. Unfortunately... they gone MIA. It's been seven years since then. It's unfortunate, but the authorities has marked them dead then. Milo however believed that they're still around, and joined us about two years ago. Now look where he is! A star just like his parents!"
...There's clearly a tinge of jealousy in the guy's eyes.

Someone's Been Eavesdropping it seems
Just as the scientist looking guy was about to reject you or tell you to go join the rest of the reporters and journalists in their attempt to interview him, suddenly you feel someone tugging your arm, a bit strongly pulling you to their side.
"Excuse me, I got this an appointment with this guest here you see!" that voice sounded a bit young, at least compared to most people there. Before you knew it, the one who found the artifact was there, pulling you to his side, a nervous grin on his face. Not even asking for your confirmation, he pulled you to a private room, where several fossil Pokemons (his presumably) was wondering around. The youth immediately tossed himself to the nearby sofa.
"Huff, sorry about that, sorry about the suddenness too. I overheard what you were saying... and I needed a bit of a time out from all those media interview. So, uh, as a thanks for being my escape route, what was it that you want to know? I can tell you pretty much anything that's not super hush hush."

Straight to the Business, I see
"The cane? Huh, I guess that would make anyone curious..." the boy, Milo commented. "It's nothing much, but should I start from the beginning? As you know Ageos have many many many ruins, and I didn't mean to say it in general way, but there are different complexes when it comes to the ruins around here. The complex on the east Ageos, West, North and South are all different civilization wise, but there's a certain pattern: That is, their interest in Pokemon.
Their interest in Pokemon seem to pertaining to their abilities to evolve. It's theorized that civilization of old believes Pokemon could evolve in different way. Southeastern Ageos for example focused on evolution items. That's why in ruins around here, there are tons of crystals found, sometimes they're not evolution crystals, but something else... something... that we don't have any knowledge what exactly.
Back to the rod, we found it on one of the ruin here... We have no idea what it's used for, but we believed rather than rod... it's some sort of... "key" or sort. The end of the rod, the tip? That part isn't quite chipped as we led to believe, but apparently it was... artifically cut. For some reason only that part seem to made out of different material. Something on it prevented degradation... We have no idea where it would lead to, but... it definitely would be something... groundbreaking don't you think? If we found where it meant to be fitted into I mean."

Going there Huh
"We don't know," was all the youth answered frankly as he gets up to make glass of hot milk tea. "Some said it was monarchy, another said that the old civilization wasn't centered on a monarch but some high priests instead. One for each part of Ageos. One revolves on different studies. If there are legendaries in Ageos... then it wasn't an ally of the people. They're calamities, at least from what we found. Which, makes theory where Ageos aren't unified in their attempt to fight off the calamity as... quite logical. At least what I think."
Go back there? "...Mmm, not quite sure. We might going to get the cane back to the central museum. It'll be safe over there. It'll have to wait until we find the corresponding door. Now which door it is I wouldn't know, but normally there should be a clue on the staff itself. That's why we're going to study it for more."
Talk about his parents only make Milo smile a bit melancholically. "Eh, it happened... I guess. This job is always full of danger, that much I know. You will be targeted by treasure hunters, ruffians and many more, and if you gone too deep with your knowledge you might actually got a hitlist on you. My parents knows as much. Wished they stopped, but I guess that's a cost of a passion."

Time to Go Back to Your Goal...
Milo smiled thinly and shook his head. "We... won't stop, or better said, we can't stop. It might be very selfish of us to say this but we believed only by digging deeper we could truly fight against the threat of what caused Ageos so many disasters in the past. We... might have dug up something forbidden, but if we stop right here, and the other side uses the fact that we have dug something out as a pretext for aggression, that will only make us sitting duck. Yes, we're only digging deeper and deeper into our sin, but... let's just say we're not going to be sitting ducks when whatever the worst happened... well, happened."
What with that advice? Milo only can tilt his head. Perhaps in his opinion, he's just a normal kid who happened to be in a spotlight and doesn't think much about it?
"Well unfortunately it really is. Or more like... these are all that I know really. Ms. Breonne says that only the big guns knows what else available and if there are roadmaps on next ruins and its connection with the current one. I guess this is to make sure that I don't get caught into mess like my parents. By the way, if you're heading out why don't you look around at the exhibition? Maybe you'll see something related to Legendary Pokemons around in exhibition. I think the latest finding is about Regigas!"

Something is Wrong
While you go to the back, you noticed that something is wrong. The security guard... looked unprofessional. How to say, but their movement doesn't looks like a security guard at all, more like way too tense, like someone out of their comfort zone. It may be chalked to the fact that they're new, but... there's no guard that somehow wear a clothes a bit too tight for them, right? It's as if.. It's as if something has been happening here.
A normal person wouldn't have noticed, but you saw something white up on the tree about ten meters away from you diagonally. It's way too big for a Cascoon or Silcoon... but all thing considered, Ageos sizes are... definitely something. Something more than twice bigger is... most likely exist, right? Well, let's ignore that it doesn't have eyes, though and wriggling...
...Then smell of sleep powder, a thick one at it, impossible to be mistaken because how thick it is... came from the back door. Eerily quiet, is how it feels, even though there are supposed to be Houndour and Growlithe patrolling... or perhaps...?
