Kyler Wilton A narrow but powerful gush of water sailed toward the lone guard's head. By the time they knew what was up, it was too late; the pressurized Water Gun attack had struck them in the side of the head. THUD! The patrol was out cold, and the back door was wide open. Was it safe to go inside, though? Even outside the entrance, Kyler was fighting drowsiness as is, and clearly the source of the sleep-inducing smell was from the interior. If he inhaled one breath of that powder, he would surely be asleep like the rest of them. Without some kind of face protection to wear over his nose and mouth, he was asking for trouble!

Kyler WiltonKyler was right to suspect company; rather than sounding a cry like originally suggested, the Sobble returned to his trainer. He walked back-and-forth in front of him, briefly stopping to stare at him with glowing eyes, then climbed up him and gently tapped at his trainer's mask. Afterward, the water-type scampered down and mimed a passed-out individual. It seemed what Riven saw was pretty staggering; a group of masked humans had ordered the use of Sleep Powder to put all the security workers and their Pokémon working the event to sleep. If Kyler were to poke his head around the corner into the warehouse-like chamber, he would see everything exactly as described by his Pokémon's gestures. He couldn't immediately tell whether they were Epochs or not, nor did he immediately notice a source of the massive amount of Sleep Powder still lingering in the air. Further investigation would be required, and avoiding battle might be for the best. Ascertaining further details or proceeding past the masked humans will require a roll. Depending on your actions, certain Skills such as Dexterity, Stealth, or Survival, may help you succeed on this roll.

Kyler Wilton Advancement through the warehouse was slow but steady. As Kyler's eyes shifted around, he noticed there were a pair of Butterfree in the rafters silently beating their wings; perhaps this was the source of the Sleep Powder. He also noticed a small logo on one of the thieves' jackets; it appeared to be in the shape of the spade playing card suit. At least it wasn't the Epochs...but these people were up to no good, either. As he continued to advance, he overheard a conversation about the key-rod on display being a fake, and something about a relic ankh. He would need to keep moving to avoid eye contact as the rival thieves continued to ransack storage crates...

Kyler WiltonAfter getting through the main room of the warehouse, he found there was a secondary room at the opposite end of a narrow hallway, its door barely cracked open. If he were to peek through the crack, he would be able to see a tall but thin metallic rod. Three curved pieces of metal were attached to its business end, shaped like petals of a flower. There was also a valuable-looking gem at the base of there the attachment was. Did he stumble into what the rival thieves were looking for?

Kyler Wilton The moment Kyler made a move for the reflective, valuable-looking rod, he heard a deep, male voice cry "Butterfree!" The swift, oversized insect flew toward the vent and began sealing it with a durable coat of String Shot. As this was going on, a hooded figure shrouded in a full-body outfit with the same spade-shaped logo approached Kyler, putting the noble thief between himself and the fluttering Bug-type. "How about you put the toys down and forget you saw anything here, hmm?"You are challenged by Team Spade Grunt Anthony!Loot: 125 Pen, Hidden Ability Capsule

Kyler WiltonVictory was all but assured; Kyler had bested Team Spade in their attempt to steal the Relic Ankh at the archaeological show. Their battle was rather noisy, though, so he had to act fast. He had a few options of what to do. 1) Claim to be the hero that stopped Team Spade from stealing the valuable, priceless relics the show had brought. This would leave the organizers indebted to Kyler, likely net a modest payout, and leave him with the warm feeling that breaking a law or two isn't always a bad thing when the situation justifies it. This will cause a modest increase in Reputation, Fame and Alignment. 2) Sell the Relic Ankh on the black market. This would net a lucrative payout, but if Kyler was unlucky and the sale was traced back to him, he could end up in some serious legal trouble. This will cause a modest increase in Reputation and a modest reduction in Alignment.3) Keep the Relic Ankh and try to unlock its secrets. This could lead to even more lucrative rewards down the line, but would net a much lower immediate gain. This will net a small payout, but the insight gained from unlocking the Ankh's true secrets could be more valuable than anything money could buy. The true rewards would be reaped in a Discovery Chain.

Kyler WiltonIt was over. It took someone who could play at Team Spade's own games, but Kyler had foiled a major heist of some truly priceless treasures. As police further stabilized the situation and walked Team Spade members away from the building in handcuffs, Kyler noticed the event's attendees were leaving en masse. Unsurprisingly, the remainder of the show was canceled, those responsible for running the exhibit packing up tables, folding and moving chairs, and the like. He could clearly see Milo among them, somehow managing to stay close to the ankh and other priceless items, that were defended from ruffians who could not appreciate fine art or history. Once he was certain Milo and Kyler were the only two in the building, he called toward Kyler. "You're a real life saver; I think I can trust you with this. It's for your noble actions today." With that, Milo handed Kyler a thick wad of bills for his work. "You see, the ankh is from the old world. Dating techniques indicated it is around 5,000 to 6,000 years old. While it is impressive to look at, I want to get to the bottom of this. Where did it come from? What purpose did it serve? Ageos is full of ruins this could come from, and I want to unravel the whole story." Milo gave Kyler a direct extension at which he could be contacted. "Such ruins are almost always full of danger; if you take on Team Spade by yourself, then there's a bodyguard job waiting for you. Don't contact me except on a secure line. I have my reasons." He paused again. "Oh, and one more thing. This conversation didn't happen."
