"Why are we staying in here?! You know I can try beating those lizards."
Armand groaned and since Josh was busy, he guessed it would be a good time to talk. "Because they're no ordinary Charmander and Charmeleon. You saw that Heat Wave. Even if you try jumping in there, you wouldn't able to survive without a plan."
"Seriously?! What's bad about facing three lizards?! I can just smack them with rocks and water and end it there."
He sighed at this as his Pokemon has no clue what was really happening. "You don't understand..."
Before he could explain, he heard a large caw that was coming closer to him, which made him nearly speechless in shock at this."
"What's wrong, Armand?"
Just as he could answer, Armand suddenly heard Josh calling out to him. Once he noticed this, he gasped to see another Heat Wave coming towards them and without any thought, he quickly ordered his Cloyster to use Water Gun again. By the time the flames extinguished by it, Armand saw that Josh's Skarmory knocked out from that attack with the trainer remained unharmed. This was too much for him to bear. He was about to run to their aid when...
CRAAAAWWWWWW!!!
He stopped running, looked up, and gasped at what he saw. Three steel birds flew past him and landed in front of him, but a bit far away from his friend who was behind the group.
"M-Mon Dieu... T-That's not... a Pokemon..."
His words were a bit exaggerated, but it was justified considering what he saw. Unlike the two diminutive Skarmory below it, the leader was the size of a building. Just staring at its menacing glare at him was enough to shake his boots. Regardless, it wasn't enough to make him or his Pokemon ran away in fear. But while he wanted to run past the wild Pokemon to aid Josh, he knew they weren't going to let him go that easily.
"Ooh... That guy looks tough. Let me at him, Armand! I can handle him!"
Upon hearing Serrer's thoughts, he regained his composure and blocked his path before he could charge at the Steel/Flying-type. "No, Serrer! You have to help Josh and the others. The others can take care of them."
"What?! Are you telling me to..."
"Just go! Josh can't handle those Fire-types on his own. Their safety is more important right now." The Bivalve Pokemon was surprised at how his trainer raised his voice at him for the first time. "Don't worry, I have an idea on how to deal with these Skarmory. Just trust me."
The clam stared at his trainer for a few seconds and sighing, he turned away from Armand as the latter heard his thoughts, "They better win, Armand! If they don't, I'll never forgive you for letting me out of this battle."
"Like I ever want to lose against them. I'll join you once we're done here." With that said, he took out two Poke Balls and released his Litwick and Houndour. But when they did, they look up and gasped in horror to see a giant Skarmory right in front of them. "I know this looks bad, but I need your help."
While he was surprised at seeing the giant Skarmory in awe, he knew it was too much for him to capture and had to defeat it. If he did, then taming it would be too difficult and the dangers around him. Just as he could prepare himself to attack, he noticed his Absol stepped forward and growl at the wild Pokemon.
"Wait, you want to help, too, Voyant?" The Dark-type barked as he stared at his teammates. "I see. You don't want to leave the young ones alone, huh? Very well, I'm counting on you as well."
Voyant barked with a hint of determination just as the large Pokemon cawed as loud as it could. As it did, the small Skarmory charged in towards Josh's direction with its claws bared at him.
"Josh, I'll leave with my Cloyster up to you! Serrer, you better not mess up!"
"I told you, I can handle this!"
With that, he glared at the giant bird as Serrer jumped forward and fired two rocks towards the attacking Steel/Flying-type.
