Ringo: Lv7, 3/3 Joan: Lv6, 3/3
Kasumi walked toward Cerise City Park, carrying her guitar in a gig bag in one hand, a portable amp in the other, and a Pokémon on each shoulder: Ringo the Grookey sat on her left, while Joan the shiny Pidgey perched on her right. The trio seemed to be drawing quite a bit of attention, some curious about Kasumi's gear, others in awe of the rare shiny, who chirped shyly and hid her face behind one wing.
"Better get used to the attention if you wanna be on stage, Joan," Kasumi said. Joan twittered nervously in response, so Kasumi went for a different approach: "Or I could always rock so hard people are too busy watching me." She grinned at Joan, who peered out from behind her wing to give her a curious look. Ringo chittered something that sounded encouraging. Joan slowly folded her wings back to her sides, though she kept her eyes to the ground.
As they approached the center of the park, they heard what sounded like a mix of cheering and cawing. The source quickly became apparent: a squad of Oricorio, including a shiny one, practicing what Kasumi assumed was a cheer routine with the help of their trainer and her—oh, wow, she had two shiny Pokémon. But Kasumi wasn't jealous. Nope. Not one bit.
The cheering came to a stop when the Absol gestured to a group of gawking parkgoers. Kasumi perked up a bit as she overheard the trainer say something about a Contest. A potential opponent, perhaps? Or would they even be in the same category?
"Guess I'm not the only one who decided to practice here," Kasumi said to the trainer. "You a Contest-goer?"

Kasumi managed to keep her jaw from dropping at Jae's comment on how Joan was "weird," but she couldn't suppress the dumbfounded look on her face. "Wait, you've got two shiny Pokémon, and you don't even know what they're called?" She looked at Aki, then Allie, curious to see their reactions to this. Aki was staring at Jae, seeming annoyed.
Joan was just embarrassed, though, at having more attention being drawn to her and being called weird. She let out a sad little chirp; Ringo quickly chittered more encouragement. "Hey, don't worry about it, Joan," Kasumi said. "It's good to be different, otherwise you just end up all stuffy and boring."
