Received as Starter from Professor Pear. Despite the notorious reputation of being a troublesome species of Pokémon, this Emolga... okay, well, she can be a trouble maker too. But, to be fair, she doesn't really mean to be. This Emolga grew up under the care of Professor Pear in Shire Town, and for this reason, the squirrel is incredibly inexperienced. She is just as new to... well everything as her Trainer is, if not more so. For this reason, Emolga isn't an incredibly confident Pokemon, and perhaps her strongest trait is her humility. This Emolga, for being as young as she is, is very much aware of her lack of skill and isn't very comfortable flaunting the skills she does possess. She's not really comfortable with flaunting much of anything, really. She's just not a Pokemon with very much of an ego at all. However, that lack of an ego never really meant that she was always obedient, nor did it mean she was exempt from having a bit of a trouble maker. She is an Emolga after all. She's not nearly as prone to causing trouble as most wild Emolga, or even other Emolga owned by other Trainers, perhaps due to the fact that not many are raised in a lab like she was. She doesn't really do the food stealing tactics Emolga are known for, but she is very protective of her food, and she can be rather passive aggressive if you mess with said food. Emolga is rather clever, though this side of her only comes out when she wants to get back at those who wronged her. Though it's not that easy to get her mad, once she is, it's hard to gain her forgiveness. She can hold a grudge. Emolga is a rather friendly Pokemon, and perhaps a bit too trusting of strangers. Emolga believes everyone to be a friend upon first meeting them, and is very eager to make friends to a fault. Emolga hasn't learned the "beware of strangers" rule very well, and always assumes that everyone wants to play with her. Obviously, this could potentially get her into a lot of trouble, so Charlotte has to try to keep an eye on her. Emolga's tendency to want to play also sheds a little light on something else: Emolga's not much of a fan of battles yet. She doesn't quite get that it's supposed to be fun and only sees it as Pokemon hurting each other. This obviously causes a bit of complications due to the fact that her Trainer is... well, a Trainer. And, as a result, Emolga's going to be a part of many battles. For this reason, the two may bicker in this one area, though this does bring us back to her passive aggressiveness. If a Pokemon attacks her first, Emolga is no longer interested in holding back, and the only way to quench her wrath would be to either have the Pokemon faint, or for Charlotte to capture them. Of course, Emolga is an Emolga, and a young one at that, so it would stand to reason that Emolga's probably gonna lose a lot of fights. In that regard... well, Emolga won't let up on her grudge until she wins. Or until she eventually (and I mean eventually) forgets about it. Emolga absolutely adored Charlotte right from the start. Charlotte is the one person this Pokemon is incapable of holding a grudge against, and cares for Charlotte just as much as Charlotte cares about her. Unfortunately, this leads to a bit of a problem... the Emolga isn't confident enough to defy her Trainer properly. Sure, if the teen tried to get her to fight, she'll try to bolt, but it doesn't take much for Charlotte to convince the young Pokemon to do something, even if said thing is something she doesn't like. And, of course, Charlotte doesn't have the experience enough to try to communicate with the young Pokemon, and Emolga doesn't have the courage to put her foot down. This will surely cause problems later... But to put it simply, Emolga's a friendly, humble Pokemon as long as you don't cross her too badly. |

Encounterd and captured in Route 1. Totodile is a surprisingly friendly Pokémon for one so newly captured. This Pokemon is quite docile and cooperative by nature, but it also has quite a bit of a relaxed side. She doesn't really sweat much of anything, and is more than happy to let life take her where it may. For this reason, Totodile is quite the comforting Pokémon to be around, and she can be quite a good listener. That being said, Totodile is quite a young Pokemon, and is one from the wild. Because of this, Totodile has the bad habit of any Totodile: she likes to try to bite things. Everything she comes across, with enough energy, she likes to meet them with her teeth. She's one of those Pokémon who like to bite those she likes, and... well, she can bite pretty dang hard. She can also be rather oblivious when other people or Pokémon are in pain, and often times can't really read a room. That being said, this Totodile isn't stupid. Since she's such a new member of her team, her Trainer's not sure how smart this Totodile is, but she's certainly smarter than she looks. Even in the midst of the battle in which she was ultimately captured, Totodile cleverly kept close to Emolga to give her a Scratch attack. She also tried her Thrash attack many times, knowing full well just how strong the attack is, even though it never ultimately made it's mark thanks to Emolga's Double Team. Totodile can definitely think pretty well on her own and has a lot of potential, but much like Emolga, Totodile is perhaps a little too trusting of strangers, though perhaps not quite as much as Emolga. |

This turtle, at this time, is rather cautious, and untrusting to anyone. To her new Trainer, to her Trainer's Pokémon, to absolutely anyone. She is rather aggressive to those she deems a direct threat, and is always on guard against Electric or Grass Type Pokemon. Not much else is known about Squirtle at the moment, as it is very hard for Charlotte to even get near her. |
