Shalin's golden blonde hair was a mess from being whipped back and forth during Caprice's temper tantrum. While she wasn't fully aware of Caprice's gaze because of how dizzy and delirious she was after being mentally harnessed to the violently thrashing fox, she was starting to recover her other senses. Caprice shifted about as needed to keep her lurching rider balanced. "Owww..." the green-clad girl moaned as her vision cleared. She made an attempt to shift her weight for a dismount, but could not move either one of her jelly-feeling legs. "S-s-sorry...I won't..." she trailed off, making a sudden hiss through her teeth after mistakenly putting added pressure on her sore thigh. Caprice showed no sign of sympathy for her trainer; she simply walked north down the mountain trail, keeping pace with Jae and Aki as though nothing happened. Shalin's new catch had rolled down the trail quite a bit. With the fire-type in no hurry, it would take some time for the Drilbur's new owner to retrieve it. That was the least of her worries, though. "Mind if we stop for a bit...once we reach the bottom...of the trail?" Shalin slowly asked Jae, making visible effort to keep pressure off where she was hurt. Jae Tsukuda{WC: 208} {PC: 8}

Once the two had made it to the bottom of the trail, Shalin started to feel a bit better, recovering some feeling in her legs. It was early afternoon by the time the two had reached the concurrence of some of the most varied terrain in Ageos; mountains to the south, a lightly wooded grassland around them, and a pristine beach to their north. The variety of Pokémon that could be found here was immense. When Shalin noticed Jae feeding Princess, she chimed in, "It's about that time, isn't it?" Of course, she was referring to lunch. After Shalin pushed off Caprice's back to dismount, she immediately hit the ground when she put pressure on her leg. "I think I need a little more time," she requested, crawling toward a sturdy-looking tree so she could at least brace herself against something. Starr and Dolana crowded around her with worried looks on their faces. Once she got situated, she turned back toward Jae just in time to notice Princess' evolution in progress. She couldn't help but smile and laugh. "It shouldn't surprise you one bit; bugs grow really fast! They evolve in a week on their own. In the hands of a trainer, they can evolve within days!"Princess wasn't the only one ready to evolve, though; both of Shalin's Eevee, who were cuddled up alongside the seated female, started glowing with the blinding light of evolution. Shalin instinctively closed her eyes and covered her face; being right next to an evolving Pokémon was akin to looking directly at the sun. Speechless, all she could do was let out an excited cry, both for Jae and for herself. --- Evolving Starr and Dolana ICly into Espeon and Umbreon, respectively.Jae Tsukuda{WC: 279} {PC: 9}

Starr and Dolana had completed their evolution, Shalin struggling to stay balanced against the Umbreon that now towered over her. She gave the dark-type as big of a hug as she could manage in her worn-down state. While she didn't feel like hurling anymore, she was still a bit dizzy. "You just couldn't wait after seeing Rielle, could you?" she replied to her newly-evolved Pokémon in a baby voice. The Espeon wanted attention as well, the two of them fighting to hug their trainer. The evolutions gave Shalin the second wind she needed to continue heading toward Magnolia. "Can't wait to get them fitted, Jae; could you imagine being on a Pokémon that teleports?" Shalin seemed a little too excited to get the shiny Espeon fitted for riding; Starr didn't let out a drop of emotion one way or another on the idea of being ridden. The sly, smiling Umbreon seemed more enthusiastic about it. Shalin tagged Caprice out for Rielle now that they were in terrain much less rough, the Vaporeon setting her sights on the coastline. "When the water warms up, I want to take Rielle for a swim," she said to Jae. "Look how big she is!" She circled the Vaporeon, stopping to look at her gently-wagging tail. "Her tail is so big and strong, she'd let you ride it if you wanted!" Rielle smiled, taking that as a challenge. She ran her hand over the tail before jumping aboard the quadrupedal water-type. When Shalin noticed Jae was carrying Princess directly, she grew a little worried as the Kakuna shifted. "Be careful with her!" the young girl interjected. "Even as a Kakuna, she can sting you if you're not careful. When she evolves, don't be afraid to pamper her a bit, either; Beedrill are very predatory in the wild and easy to anger."When Jae brought up her conundrum about what to evolve Yuki into, Shalin offered to help her make the decision. "What are you looking for on your team? Tell you what. When I get Starr and Dolana fitted, you can try going for a ride on them, and Waft and Rielle as well. That might help!" While her help was rather one dimensional, at least her intentions were there...right? --- Jae Tsukuda{WC: 378} {PC: 10}

The grasslands gave way to the sands bordering Avalon Bay, Rielle leaving a trail of webbed footprints on the pristine beach. "There aren't very many Pokémon that can teleport with a rider. I might like it, might not. Won't know what it feels like until you try, though!" The green psychic-type, then her sister, caught up to Rielle. She tilted her beady eyes toward her trainer. "I have a couple things I need to take care of when we get to Magnolia," Shalin said to her partner. "We'll do it as soon as I can!"While it was larger than most of the other cities she had seen, Magnolia wasn't anywhere near as large as Slate City; certainly, it wasn't uncomfortably large for her. While she preferred smaller towns where most people generally knew each other, she felt she could navigate one this size. "There's supposedly a Contest Hall in Magnolia. You should enter! I might enter if the theme suits me."It seemed Jae had plenty of enthusiasm about Shalin's offer to help make her decision. After all, Eevee offered so many choices, each of which could fill an important role on a team. It was little wonder Eevee eggs were so expensive on the open market. "Alright then, let's plan a date for it once we get to Magnolia!" Shalin auggested. "It's not far now."
