Magnolia City Gym
Introduction
Magnolia City's Gym is built around a hedge garden near the Avalon Coast, on the north end of town. The Leader is Sofia Hall, the "Shining Star of Magnolia", a talented Coordinator as well as a competent Trainer. She often competes with the same Pokémon both in battle and on stage. She is adept with Normal-type and Flying-type Pokémon.
Requirements
You must bring six Pokémon, all of which must be at least level 10.
The Pokémon you bring all must be within 10 levels of each other.
All Pokémon must be shorter than 10 feet.
You must be familiar with and follow the Official Battle rules.
Gym Trial
Sofia's Gym Trial is navigating a maze of Magnolia trees. There are a total of ten dead-ends in the maze. You will bring one Pokémon with you; the other five will be hidden within the maze. At each of nine of the ten dead end is a gift box. The final dead-end contains Sofia. After each post, you will make a roll using the [ roll ] command (not proll). A Content Moderator will determine the contents of the gift box based on the roll. The pool of gift box contents is as follows:
5x Your Pokémon - One of your registered Pokémon, chosen at random, will be added to your party for the Gym battle.
3x Blinding Trap! - A bright spotlight shines in your face and you are temporarily blinded! If you have more than one Pokémon in your party, one of Sofia's Pokémon will steal a random Pokémon in your party while you can't see. However, if you only have one Pokémon in your party, you will find yourself outside of the maze when your vision returns, and the Trial will end in failure. This result cannot be rolled for the first post of the Trial.
1x Essence of Magnolia - This sachet, when given to a Pokémon to hold, will revive the Pokémon when you recall it after it faints. However, any battles it undertakes after it is revived are one difficulty category harder than normal due to it not being at full strength.
1x Sofia - If you find her, she will escort you to the arena in the center of the maze, and you will battle her with the Pokémon currently in your party.
The Battlefield
The main arena is an open-air field sparsely populated by Magnolia trees. High winds often blow through the arena, which can aid Flying-types that are adept at navigating such conditions, but will hinder ones not used to it. It is in the center of the tree maze. There is very little cover and plenty of room to run.
Pokémon
Pokémon will be evolved as appropriate for the challenger's levels; only base forms are listed. The number of Pokémon that Sofia uses depends on your Class Rank; she will use a number of Pokémon equal to one plus your Class Rank or three, whichever is greater.
