PetitionsIf you have an idea for a specific kind of thread you want to play out, but you want the rewards of a Discovery and not the unpredictability of one, this is where Petitions come in!
A Petition is an idea for a new Quest. Staff will review the Petition, and will approve it, suggest tweaks to it, or decline it. As the potential content is so wide open, there are very few hard guidelines, and you will need to be willing to work with Staff for purposes of balancing your Petition. Rules for Petitions
When submitting a Petition, you must use the form at the bottom of this post, post it in this thread, and Mod Call.
Petitions must state what restrictions there are, if any, on who can undertake the Quest. Open Petitions have a higher chance to be accepted, though Private Petitions for specific groups of people are also accepted from time to time. If a Petition is approved to become a Quest, Staff may either add it to the Notice Board, or keep it in a special Staff Resources thread for use when Quests are offered in other threads. When you submit your Petition, if it is Open, you agree that your Petition now permanently belongs to the site and can use your plot idea for all characters. The first time the new Quest is completed, you will receive 300 Pen on top of normal Quest rewards. If multiple players submit a Petition, this added reward applies to them all. Be thorough when writing your Petition. It is much easier for staff to remove extra information than it is to add more, so try to err on the side of providing too much information over not enough. The more detailed your Petition is, the more likely it is to be turned into a Quest. Rewards can be anything on site. This includes, but is not limited to, Skill points (including power skills), specific Mega Stones or Z-Crystals, or even rewards from past site events. Rewards can already be available from other Quests, for instance, if you have an alternative way to complete an existing Quest. These are most often approved as Private Quests. Petitions cannot include meeting Legendary Pokémon until Rank 4 Quests are introduced to the site. Though you may have only one active Quest at a time, you may submit as many Petitions as you would like. This is a great help to the site. Please ensure your reward is balanced by the effort needed to complete the Quest. Most importantly, have fun coming up with Petitions! Please note, I had ideas for jobs, but I'm terrible at coming up with specific instructions or rewards. So feel free to edit any of the following information if something doesn't look right.
QUEST SUBMISSIONS
Fishing For Gold Once per character, Anyone | 1 character At least 10 posts You are stopped by an over-eager fisherman who tells tales of a shiny Magikarp lurking in these very waters. Unfortunately, they haven't had any luck catching it since they first spotted it some weeks ago. If you don't have already have a fishing rod, this enthusiast will lend you one if you agree to help catch the elusive Pokémon!
Instructions Each post has a 150 word-count requirement. After each post, you must roll using [ proil ] then Mod Call to see what you reeled in, if anything. You must respond to this event then [ proll ] again. This process continues until you have successfully caught at least 5 fish/Pokémon and have reached the 10 posts minimum. Once these conditions have been met, you will finally catch your target.
{Quest Resolution}Turns out the "shiny Magikarp" is actually a Feebas. Disappointed and ignorant to the rarity of a Feebas, the fisherman throws the Pokémon back into the water and thanks the player for their help. Note, a Feebas cannot be reeled in before this final post.
Location: Any location with a Freshwater habitat.
Rewards: Any items, fish, or Pokémon obtained while fishing; 3 Rare Candies; Fishing Rod (if you don't already have one)

Escorting the Populace Always hiring, Anyone | Up to 2 characters Varies depending on Route Folks are always looking to travel, but the Routes connecting one town to the next aren't always the safest, especially for those without Pokémon to help defend them against the unknown dangers of the wild. While Rangers do their best to secure Routes, there is no guarantee what may be lurking just off the path. As such, some people prefer to hire escorts to ensure that their trip goes smoothly and safely.
Instructions All posts have a 100 word-count minimum. The number of total posts required to complete this Job is the same as the number of posts required to unlock a Route (without the use of a bike or mount). For example, escorting someone from Shire Town to Cerise City would take place on Route 1 and would only require 10 posts to complete; but escorting someone from Shire Town to Russetton would take place on Routes 1, 2, and 3 and would require 35 posts to complete. The Job thread should be posted in the first Route characters will be traveling on. You will receive no rewards until you close the thread.
{Random Events}Random events may include a wild Pokémon attacking the group, a trainer stopping you to battle, one of your clients wandering off, or one of your clients needing to rest. Options

Instructions All posts have a 100 word-count minimum. Each character must make at least five posts to complete the Job. You must successfully put out the fire before closing the thread. You will receive no rewards until you close the thread.

Instructions All posts have a 150 word-count minimum. Each character must make at least five posts to complete the Job. You must locate and confront the culprits before closing the thread. You will receive no rewards until you close the thread.
