An Elusive Recipient It had been a long time since Koa had ridden a bicycle, but he remembered how to do it like it was yesterday. He supposed the saying that you never forget held true. He rode along the road aside the river and smiled as he thought that one day Azura could surf along that river happily once she's evolved, though when that would happen was uncertain. She's been a Popplio all her life and while she was big for her species, lack of consistent training and battles haven't allowed her to reach her full potential. He worried about what may have happened to this trainer. They weren't heard from for a while, so this was both a delivery job and a search. He hoped they were okay, but he had to steel himself in case something had happened and he would have to lend his assistance. Still, this was the perfect opportunity to get a lay of the land, something invaluable for someone who was going to be traveling as often as he was. Koa rode up a hill and stopped for the moment, contemplating his next step. He looked out over the horizon to see if he could spot any clues to the missing trainer's whereabouts. With a sigh, he said "Please be safe out here." He didn't have any flying type Pokemon or anything that could sense a presence from a distance. He could use his aura, but he worried he would only strain himself when his energy could be better spent in the event of an emergency. YnDR6Sf8

Nothing happened! All rolls were failed. It wasn't much of a hill Koa was on - while the true high ground was much closer to the Whitecap Mountains than he could safely bike, there was still an awful lot of ground to cover. As he biked down the riverside road, there were some Pokémon tracks crossing nearby. With Koa's experience as a Ranger, it wouldn't take long to identify them as Sentret and Skiddo - Pokémon found in large numbers on a road like this. While it was certainly possible those tracks belonged to the missing trainer's Pokémon, it was much more likely that some wild Pokémon had passed through recently.

With a heavy sigh, Koa got back onto the bike and rode along the trail once more as he kept an eye out for recently trampled grass or any other sign of life aside from the average wild Pokemon. No leads yet, at least nothing substantial enough to follow. Not off to a good start. He continued riding down the route and hoped that his luck would turn around soon.
After riding for a time, he paused for a moment. Maybe he should use his aura a little bit. He took a deep breath and focused his energy. He opened his eyes and attempted to sense for any aura that may not fit in with the rest of the wild Pokemon. He wouldn't extend his vision quite yet, but he hoped this would be enough to get a clue.
He was beginning to gain better control over his aura, much to his happiness. For the longest time he barely knew how to control it which led to some unfortunate headaches from the strain. Now, however, he was able to maintain the sight for a time and he began to learn how to differentiate between auras.
The world was vast and beautiful. Everything had a unique aura and he wanted to learn how to master its subtleties and abilities to the fullest. It would be invaluable to him in the future, that he was certain of. Now, however, he had a job to focus on. Wherever this trainer was, he swore he was going to find them.

Nothing happened... What will you do? Koa LeilaniThis leg of your trip is very relaxed, allowing you to appreciate the beauty of the scenery as you look for this trainer. No particular signs of them have made themselves apparent, however. Post total: 2/5 | Roll total: 102/200

Koa stopped for a moment and listened to the nature around him. The wild Pokemon, the sound of the wind and water. It was peaceful here. If something had happened to the trainer the atmosphere would be more tense, but now it's calm and relaxing. This realization calmed him for now as he began to take it slow to further admire the sights and keep a closer eye out.
He had yet to capture any Pokemon during his tour of the region and he realized he would have to befriend several before he could apply for his promotion test. Along with the ones he was going to pick up at customs, he pondered what his other Pokemon could be. New region meant new possibilities on each route and that excited him. He would likely need a fire type of some kind. Maybe even Electric, or Psychic. Ghost, perhaps? He shrugged to himself slightly as he carefully navigated the road.
He saw a few Pokemon splash out of the river and make their own little journeys alongside him. He smiled softly and enjoyed the breeze of this cool, clear skied day. Aside from his Ranger duties, he wondered what he would do. In the past he considered taking on the league and becoming Champion, potentially becoming a beacon of hope and having the strength to be seen as such. That was still a long time coming, though.

Koa Leilani Nothing happened! All rolls were failed. While the river seemed like it would be a place where the addressee would want to relax, they were nowhere to be found so far. As Koa traveled along the river, one of the Pokémon swimming alongside him, a Squirtle, surfaced and sprayed cold water toward the biker! A cacophony of mischievous-sounding Pokémon laughter followed from the water-type's general direction.

Koa yelled as the Squirtle suddenly sprayed water in his direction. He skidded to a halt to avoid falling over from the spray. He looked down at the lower hem of his pants and sighed before he reached down to squeeze the water out as best he can so it wouldn't get too cold. Mischievous Pokemon doing their usual things to travelers that interest them. It wasn't uncommon behavior so he just gave them a wave before he was off again. It was harmless, so he didn't really pay it any mind at all. It wasn't enough force to send him flying off his bike so there was no real need to scold the playful Pokemon.
Since the river wasn't holding too many results he decided to take a branching path into the more dense grass away from it. He slowed down a bit to avoid getting caught on any snags that could potentially be within the grass and to avoid accidently hurting and wild Pokemon that skittered around. Maybe the person he was looking for was on some kind of extended camping trip and failed to inform anyone. That would be nice, if not a bit unlikely. There was still a lot of ground to cover so he continued on his way.
He relaxed his aura vision for the time being before it started to strain his vision. He didn't have any Pokemon good at tracking and he worried that Azura and Malik would be too playful and disappointed that he was mostly on business during his travels today, so he let them relax in their Pokeballs.

Koa Leilani A random event has occurred! The Squirtle chasing Koa away from the river wound up being a stroke of luck - he noticed there was a narrow section of tromped-down grass as he pedaled closer to it. The section was about the shoulder-width of a human. It was a good sign someone had passed through the small roadside field recently. Were those Machop tracks, too? Such a Pokémon was likely a long ways from its parents...

He came to a halt as soon as he saw the trampled grass. He hopped off the bike for a moment to kneel next to the tracks. "The width seems right for a human to have come through here, but these tracks belong to a Machop...? They're not native to this area. It has to belong to the trainer." He deduced as he got back on his bike and rode through the trail left behind.
At last it seemed that Koa had a breakthrough in the search. A Pokemon that wasn't native to the area and a path that was likely made by a human. It wasn't difficult to put two and two together in that instance. The trainer and its Pokemon must have passed through here not too long ago. He could only hope he would be able to catch up.
Once more he tried to sense for an aura nearby that could belong to a human as he rode along but he didn't want to go too fast or else he may run something over or lose his balance. Besides, if he was going to be allowed to keep this bike he might as well make sure to take good care of it. This has been a wonderful way for him to get a lay of the land and explore the different parts of the routes that made up Ageos, which would make future visits and backtracking much easier on him overall.

Koa LeilaniA random event has occurred!Koa's quick thinking paid off - while the grass around them was growing taller and wilder, the trail of trampled of grass eventually led him to a tent. It made some sense for a tent to be pitched here, given how late it was in the day as well as how far away he was from town. Koa's Aura Sight revealed two distinct figures, either inside or on the other side of the tent; it was difficult to tell from the distance they were at. What was certain, though, was there were two living things on the inside of that tent. There was a good chance that this was the missing Trainer and one of their Pokémon!

Upon exiting the trail and spotting the tent that was set up in the clearing, Koa came to a stop. He took a deep breath and sighed as he spotted a couple of distinct auras within. He braced the bike against a tree and pulled the letter out of his bag before approaching. He called out "Hello? I've got a letter for you! It's important!"
Koa approached and waited for the trainer to come outside before he handed him the letter "You were a bit hard to track down!" He said with a laugh "People were worried about you, you know? Apparently someone decided to try and get a hold of you, so they sent me out to give you that letter." He explained.
He had to admit though, this was a pretty nice location for a camp. He could imagine it was a nice relaxing spot to disconnect and get away from it all for a while. Though if one were to do that they should be considerate and let people know where they're off to! After chatting with the trainer for a little while, Koa walked over to his bike and waved goodbye before he rode back to the river trail, satisfied in a job well done. He was glad that the trainer was safe and sound.
