Ettie threw a Net Ball!Capture - Chance: 44%HOnxYD6gp_Flee chancep_Break chancep_Ettie's Net Ball rolled in seemingly random directions after assimilating the Beedrill. This Pokémon wasn't going down without a fight, though! The ball gained more and more momentum until it slammed into a nearby tree, the wild breaking out after a long and tense battle. It rammed one of its foreleg stings into the Net Ball in an attempt to pierce it and make it useless, but all it succeeded in doing was flinging it back toward its owner at high speed. Shaking its head rapidly, the yellow and black insect buzzed angrily with overwhelming power and speed; anyone in the area sensitive to hearing might be able to not only hear, but feel the pounding of the blindingly fast wings as it rocketed in the girls' general direction. Growing more furious, the giant bee ignored Molly completely and swerved toward Ettie, raising its deadly rear sting toward her and showing no sign of easing off the gas. ··

"Whew, thanks for the hard work, everyone," Tetsu thanked his Pokemons, who cried in unison, happy that they won a hard fight. "And thus I dub you Tourmaline!" he need to switch his Pokemons for the meantime. Probably with Evergarden? Ah but maybe he shouldn't... maybe he should just keep this one Pokemon in his PC? Well there are tons of option... but first, he need to check on Riku and Schizen.
"You two, are you two alright?"
The pain on their face was obvious. They got poisoned it seem. Tetsu clicked his tongue in frustration. "You two did great... Er, who was it... Molly was it? Is there any leftover potions there?" he asked. "I think my Pokemons got poisoned..."
But he was naive. He thought that Ettie would get the same chance with the other Beedrill. To his horror, as he tried to patch his Pokemons, he heard unmistakable sound of something popping behind him. Something that just came out, and on top of it VERY angry. Tetsu watched in horror as it angrily attempt to destroy the Pokeball. His hand already rummaging his own pocket for a net or repeat ball. But what surprises him was... The beedrill is now trying to attack Ettie with its stinger!
No time. He does not even think for long before he shot from his position. Once again, adrenaline pumping. His head was empty. His instinct was all focused on how to save this girl before there are any unwanted damages done. He know she have her Pokemon, but his reflex pretty much ignored all of them. His mind was all "Ettie is in danger, gotta save her". The first thing that flew was the boy's own punch toward the huge Beedrill's head. Even if it were a glancing blow, hardened by Aura Reinforcement would be akin to being bricked by a rock. With his strength, it probably was enough to deal significant damage that disorienting the Beedrill. Without much thought right after, he quickly tossed a Repeat Ball, hoping to catch it, or at least getting it away from Ettie!"
Repeat Ball, GO! The Beedrill is still paralyzed assumedly, from Ettie's attack

Tetsu Asterite threw a Repeat Ball!CatchK5le36oHp_Escapep_Breakp_While Tetsu's Repeat Ball was enough to buy time for Ettie and Molly to get away, it wasn't much - the Beedrill quickly escaped. thrusting the still-intact capture device almost directly back toward his dominant hand. Snapping its mandibles menacingly, the deadly insect's skin turned from yellow to orange to red, the buzzing growing much higher-pitched quickly. It was angry. Really angry. With an adrenaline rush that would certainly do harm to the bloodthirsty wasp after this battle, the Beedrill started vibrating its wings absolutely as fast as it could, blowing loose brush around it in all directions and creating quite the gust of wind. While the noise was loud enough to drown out all conversation even a fair distance away, it had to be deafening for Tetsu. Pointing its foreleg stings at the muscled Explorer, the bug-type charged straight for him, lifting its rear, venom-dripping stinger for a triple threat. ··

With the time bought by the Net Ball, the pups would be able to send the remaining two Weedles packing - neither of the bug-types interested in continuing a fight that they were outnumbered against, especially not when their respective fights hadn't been going all too well, and not when one of the two Weedles were already timid in nature! Though Anne wasn't too badly hurt, Duchess and Princess were both smarting a little from their fight against the Beedrill - and Ruffian, though he was as tenacious as always, was swaying on his paws from the poison in his system.
In seeing this, concern would be plain across Ettie's face; and she would reach down to take one of the leftover potion-antidotes, figuring that it wouldn't hurt to use one to help her packmate. "Ruffian!" She'd call, gesturing the Lillipup over. "Over here; let me patch you up!"
In response, the Lillipup would grouse a little at Ettie having noticed his growing weariness - muttering <A-Am fine... Can fight little more...> in a displeased fashion. (Despite this, however, it was quite obvious to everyone around him that he was not - in fact - fine.) He would return to Ettie's side, though; allowing her to treat the puncture wounds from the Weedle's Poison Stings.
All the while though, the rest of the pack warily eyed the Net Ball that the Beedrill was in; watching it rock back and forth more and more from afar. Anne, in particular, had a bad feeling about this - seeing just how difficult the Beedrill inside must've been being, even after having taken those Fire Fangs and being paralyzed. Just how tough was this wasp pokemon...? Plenty tough, apparently. As the Net Ball broke open, the pups were prepared to resume the fight with the angry Beedrill that was released from within; though what none of them would expect, was for it to target Ettie of all people..!
And the girl in question would have an almost instinctive reaction, in seeing the wasp pokemon rocketing towards her; tensing up, her aura bristling, with tail stiffening and ears folding back. It was clear that fight or flight was kicking in - but the question raised would be whether she was going to go flight and attempt to dodge or flee, or if she was going to go fight, and square up against the wild pokemon, despite her small size...!
The question would likely go without an answer, however, when Tetsu was quick to step in - intercepting the enraged bug-type, and proceeding to suckerpunch the Beedrill with his Aura Reinforcement...! Stunned and bewildered, the wasp pokemon would careen off-course briefly; floundering in flight as it attempted to regain its bearings, only for Tetsu to toss a Repeat Ball at it.
However, this ball wouldn't hold either - only for long enough for Ettie to back away from the Beedrill, and for a freshly-healed Ruffian to return to the pack; who would now gather around their trainer protectively. Everyone was tense, lips curled and fangs bared - even Ettie's lips were half-curled, as she stared the Repeat Ball down. And when the Beedrill escaped, prepared to attack Tetsu?
The wasp pokemon would barely have any chance to even begin growing angrier, before the pack descended on it in a snarling mess; the angry canines pouncing on the Beedrill from behind, Tackles and a couple of elemental fangs - Fire and Thunder - to topple it to the ground...! Even Ettie would join in the fray - letting out a snarl of her own as the pack collectively shoved the enraged insect down to the ground and pinned it. Huge or not, the Beedrill likely wouldn't be able to move much when it was both paralyzed, and weighed down by a number of large-sized pups and their trainer!
"You. Won't. Touch. Him." Ettie would snarl at the Beedrill; her aura bristling and flaring brightly around her to reflect her protective anger, even if Tetsu and co were likely the only ones who would see it. This side of her was so different though, from the happy and playful side that she would usually display; how would Tetsu feel about it...?
<Call fight off!> Anne would demand the Beedrill in a snarl, even if her 'voice' was muffled around one of the wasp's limbs - which her fangs were locked around, to keep it from lashing out. <Only hurting yourself, continuing fight!> As far as Anne was concerned though, she was willing to let the pack keep the wasp pinned for however long it'd take, for it to calm down or otherwise no longer be a threat.
(tbh i'm waiting until this all resolves before i update levels lmao)

Shit, failed. Failed and it's red and ANGRY! Tetsu was so ready to fight again, his stance pretty much says that the teen is going to deck it yet again. His fists coated with aura, ready to stop the Pokemon. A lariat even. But before he could do anything suddenly a blur of green shot past him. Schizen, despite his poisoned state, is shooting forward like a comet, scythe ready. It would be probably grisly if he did not use the back of it instead for slamming his attack toward the Beedrill. He heard snarling from both Riku and Rutile. Azalea even pointing her tentacle at it, ready to shot her own version of Poison Needle if it still tries to attack Tetsu.
But what's scary was the fact that this vespid is held by several snarling canine Pokemon. The fact that Ettie too joined the fray with her own snarl and growl kind of unnerve him for a second, having temporarily forgotten that the wild child has been living with Pokemon for almost all of her life. He decided to not bother her and instead addressing the Beedrill.
"...I know we have been unfair, and not to mention quite brazen in tossing Pokeball at you. We entered your territory, but we just wanted to rescue someone. But once you attacked us, even an intruder would fight back. I understand your position, but I'm sorry... Both of us need some sort of time out after all. If we let you go now, with your hatred... I fear what you could do to other humans who accidentally came to your path. I'm sorry, I need to make up for it somehow..." he tossed his Pokeball yet again, hoping this time around he could stop the Pokemon from resisting.
Repeat Ball again, go. Paralysis

Tetsu Asterite threw a Repeat Ball!Catch8aN3Z2g8p_Fleep_EttieA random event has occurred!Tetsu whacked the angry Beedrill with another Repeat Ball! Though the wild had expended a great deal of energy in its last attack, it had enough left to fight capture. Surely, it was getting too tired to resist a specialty Poké Ball as strong as a Repeat Ball, right? Molly crossed her fingers as she stared at the Ball used in the Explorer's third attempt...but sadly, the third time was not the charm. The battered and bruised Beedrill, barely beating its wings fast enough to stay aloft, had enough. Not one to fight to the death, the wasp's skin turned from red to its natural yellow, turned around, and buzzed out of sight. Molly breathed a huge sigh of relief. She was safe...for now. "You two are really strong!" Molly smiled toward Ettie and Tetsu. "My Pokémon feel a lot better now - can you take me back home? I'm sure everyone's worried sick!"·

As the Beedril finally departed, only then would the pack begin to calm; though it was clear for the majority of them, that they all were on edge, with plenty frayed nerves, now. Anne's fur was still half-bristled, as she restlessly paced around everyone - checking to see if everyone present was okay. Ruffian was growling and muttering to himself, agitated over not only having needed to be patched up by Ettie, but also at the fact that the beedril fled. Princess, though she didn't show any visible signs, would stay protectively glued to Duchess' side - the Electrike in question fidgeting restlessly, glancing about as though she anticipated another fight to be sprung on them from nowhere.
Ettie, meanwhile, was simply panting softly; staring in the direction that the Beedril had fled. Though her aura-ears were pricked, they were swiveled in the same direction - visibly alert - her 'tail' was still stiff - even if somewhat drooped - and her 'fur' still bristled. Fight or flight, to a limited degree, was still active - she still felt as though she had to be ready to act however necessary, the adrenaline still lingering in her body.
However, as Molly spoke, Ettie's shoulders would jump a bit - the young girl glancing back towards the other trainer. She'd blink a bit, as if it was taking her a second to process everything, before nodding; leaving the forest certainly seemed like a good idea, for now. Her pack was tuckered out, and everyone was still just a little stressed. "Yeah," She'd respond, glancing back in the direction of town. "C'mon."
She definitely sounded less peppy than usual - almost drained, even, which was to be expected; being hyped up on fight or flight and andrenaline tended to lead to a bit of a crash afterwards, once the danger passed. But, nonetheless, she'd cast Tetsu, Molly, as well as her pack a smile as they began moving; Anne briefly nuzzling Ettie's side, in a comforting gesture.
<She'll feel better, after rest.> Anne would reassure the other pups, noting their own concerned glances. <Just tired.>
With 3 from the boss and 2 each from the minions... -loudsweat-
Anne the Rockruff - Level 6 > 8 Duchess the Electrike - Level 6 > 7 Princess the Snubbull - Level 5 > 7 Ruffian the Lillipup - Level 5 > 7
Which should translate to 15, 14, 14, 15, for post-trainingthread threads.

Tetsu used whatever leftover potions from the professor to cure Schizen and Riku. Both Pokemons seem to get well enough and ready to continue their journey. Tetsu looked at the rest of the packs before nodding. Everyone need a rest it seems. It's a pity that they can't find their training ground for the meantime, but all in all, they need to return back fast.
He walked in front of Ettie before crouching, hands on the back. He knows how tired looking his new friend is... and so it's his turn to offer her his help. "Hey, Ettie... want a piggyback?" he asked.
Should Ettie accept it, he would gladly carry her back to the city. They're both tired, they're both wired... He would note how light the girl is though, not used in lifting another human, much less a girl. Perhaps it's because he's stronger than most... perhaps it's something else, but he had no issue bringing her back home like this.
"You can take a nap while I carry you back. It's OK. Everyone can help me," Tetsu told Ettie. Mentally and physically she must be very tired. He's fine because his bigger stamina reserve, but he can imagine how tired she must have been, especially with such clear hostility from the Beedrills.
There's something that he has been curious of though... Why does this forest's climate felt different?
"...By the way, this forest is strange... I'm thinking of returning again... what do you think?"

Ettie Tetsu Asterite A random event has occurred!Molly, Ettie, and Tetsu were able to make it back to the forest's entrance without incident, though Molly slipped back into her jacket when the three left the warm corner of the forest. A sigh of relief, followed by a big smile, were on Professor Pear's face. Though Molly was tired, a second wind filled her with energy the moment she locked eyesight with the Professor, dashing toward her and embracing her. "The forest is so scary! I'll never go in there on my own again until I'm older!" she balled, half in fright of what discipline she would receive, half in joy of just making it out of the woods alive and to see the Professor again. Though she was of age, Molly clearly had the personality of a young child. "I can't thank you enough," Professor Pear interjected. "If you come with us to my Lab, I'll be sure you two are paid handsomely for your hard work. I never got your names, either...can I have your names?" She seemed genuinely grateful to be assured Molly was safe...almost like they were related. She really cared for her fresh graduates!

As Tetsu spoke up, Ettie would blink a bit in brief surprise - as if snapped from her own thoughts - before glancing over in the young boy's direction. It took her a second to figure out just what Tetsu was offering - though upon realizing that he wanted to carry her, the girl's aura 'ears' would perk a little before she'd quietly nod - stepping over to Tetsu, and allowing him to carry her on his back. She'd loosely wrap her arms around him, and rest her head against his shoulder; murmuring a soft "Thank you," to Tetsu. All the while though, now that Tetsu was carrying Ettie, the pups would begin to follow at the heels of Tetsu and his pokemon; almost as if they were all one pack now.
As Tetsu asked about coming back here though, Ettie's ears perked a bit. "Oh, right, and we never found a place for a den or training grounds..." She'd muse out loud, faintly disappointed that they'd have to wait on getting set up. "Coming back here again sounds good, though..." She would soon respond with a nod, against Tetsu's shoulder. Maybe with a bigger pack, things would go a bit more smoothly?
...
Either way, it wouldn't take too long before the group would make their way back to the forest's entrance; Ettie letting out a relaxed sigh as it came into view. She seemed a little more chipper now already, after having some time to rest whilst Tetsu was carrying her - and smiling over in Professor Pear's direction, she would chirp "I'm Ettie! And this is my pack - Anne, Duchess, Princess, and Ruffian!" as she gestured to each of the canines in turn; she was visibly proud over her pack, to say the least.
The pups would give respective yips and barks of greeting; although Duchess' own greeting would be particularly cheery, calling <Friend!> in Pear's direction, her tail wagging! She thought that Pear gave good pets! (Pets were a good payment, right? Lots and lots of petting?)

Tetsu smiled as he felt Ettie's weight leaning against his back. "Sorry if my back's hard by the way," he apologized. As he continue to walk forward, he noticed that Ettie's pack is now following him. He chuckled happily. "Thanks, you guys... And Ettie, don't mention it, alright? Just make yourself comfortable."
Yeah coming back here would be good... but next time they must be more prepared. But for the meantime, now that they know to gauge how dangerous the forest is, they need to take a rest somewhere... most probably a Pokemon Center... But for the meantime, he keeps walking toward the entrance, where thankfully Professor Pear is waiting. Molly understandably traumatized, and as for Tetsu, he just smiled as Ettie and Duchess eagerly said their names.
"Tetsu Asterite, just a simple adventurer. My Pokemons did more than me, though."
Hmm, going to Shire now sounds good. At time like this Tetsu wished he have his Corviknight, Randgris, with him. It'll be nice to just ride her to return to places he have gone to.
But enough of that. One day they'll return. And hopefully they're more ready then.

Ettie Tetsu Asterite A random event has occurred! The four made it back to the Lab without incident. Professor Pear guided the three back to where new trainers get their starter Pokémon. On her desk were two small stacks of crisp 20 Pen bills, and behind them was a briefcase containing three rows of eight Poké Balls, each filled with a Pokémon commonly given to new trainers. "Each of you are welcome to one of these Pokémon, as well as compensation for rescuing Molly. Just don't spend it all in one place!" she smiled. The briefcase contained one of each of the regional starter Pokémon. Which will you choose?

As the group returned to the Lab - and Shire Town by extension - Ettie would be curiously glancing every which way. Sure, she had certainly been to Shire Town before with Tetsu - but everything still felt new enough that she wanted to examine everything that they would pass by, even if she was still more subdued than her usual self. By the time that they would reach the Lab proper though, Ettie would slide down from Tetsu's back; nuzzling her cheek against his shoulder as she did, and her aura-tail wagging. Bit by bit, her mood was clearly improving!
And the notion of a new pokemon to add to her pack would certainly perk her up as well; her aura-ears pricking noticably as Professor Pear offered a starter pokemon for her and Tetsu. A new pokemon, to add to her pack..? Glancing down at Anne, Princess, Duchess, and Ruffian, Ettie would hum a bit to herself; before mentioning "Go ahead and check them out, too - we'll decide together!" with a bright smile.
And with that, the pups would bark in understanding - running off to check out the pokeballs, sniffing amongst them. Anne and Princess were taking it slow in regarding each pokeball - Anne naturally being a careful soul, and Princess naturally being a lazy soul. Ruffian, meanwhile, was in deep thought as he eyed the different pokeballs; not lingering to long on any, seeing if there was anything about them that would stand out to him. Duchess, however, was having a ball just sniffing at all the new different scents! All the new potential friends!
Between Ettie joining in the buzz of activity though, and the pack's examinations... Duchess would soon nose at one of the pokeballs - yipping <Smells like us! Kind of!> to Ettie.
Another canid pokemon?
Anne would give it another sniff. <Smoky.> She'd simply comment, cocking her head a bit.
A fire type?
This all certainly caught Ettie's eye - and she would zero in on the pokeball that the pack was now collectively focused on; reaching out to take it into her hand, and hold it close as she looked it over. Indeed, it felt warm under her fingers - a soothing sort of warmth, for sure; and if the pups were agreeing upon this one, well... "... We'll pick this one!" Ettie would mention to Professor Pear, smiling warmly in her direction.
And with that, Ettie would turn around, to let out the Fennekin she picked out. "C'mon out, meet your new pack!"
Picking a Fennekin!

Tetsu felt that little nuzzle on his shoulder. He instinctively strokes Ettie's head in return. "Feeling better?" he asked, just to be sure. He want her to be happy after all! Peppy Ettie is the best Ettie! But either way, the professor wasn't kidding. There are stack of money on top of Pokemons... He blinked several times before humming thoughtfully. All these Pokemon, they're from eight other regions. He was expecting to see Ageos' own Pokemons, but... huh.
First he checked around for the three on the back row. He definitely already have a Bulbasaur and a Charmander. Asking for a Squirtle is not bad. After that... hmmm... he looked at the second row. He's not particularly interested in Cyndaquil yet at the moment because he felt he's not ready. Chikorita, he's used to play with his sister's... and well... hum. Totodile...
He have completed Hoenn starter. He got all the three. For Sinnoh he don't quite like Chimchar just yet, so it's a pass for the meantime. Unova... It's usually a straight yes pick for him, but for some reason he prefers a wild Oshawott. He can also pick Chespin from Kalos starters, but... probably not a good choice now? Litten, Popplio and Rowlet... the three he completely missed... probably pass for now. And finally... another three he missed, Sobble, Scorbunny and Grookey... Tetsu mused for a bit before reaching toward his choice.
"I'm in need to Totodile I guess!" he answered with a grin.
Tetsu picked Totodile!
