Tetsu smiled happily as the Bulbasaur seem to be happily joining his team! That's great! What's exactly is this bulbasaur though? There are so many unanswered question during their journey... and it makes his explorer's blood boiling. "Thank you for accepting my proposal then! As for your name... let's see... How does Titanite sound?"
There's seem a very constant theme with Tetsu... mainly, he names his Pokemons based on minerals. Most of them anyway. For the meantime, Tetsu only registered Titanite. The Bulbasaur seem to prefer to stay out and guide, which he was thankful for. However, the heat is definitely getting a bit too much for Tourmaline, who looked as if she's overheating slowly, even with Turquoise helping by shooting water at her. Tetsu already caught the sign. It's not good. He recalled that insects like her can't really handle heat more than the moment, and the pathway that Titanite is leading them to seem to be far hotter than now. He immediately recalled her and send her to the PC. He also sent Alexandrite back, and in turn called out Turquoise the Squirtle.
"Turquoise, go to Ettie, alright? I don't think Chalcedony can cool down both of our party. So just in case, help her. I know she have Cassie and Aurien, but..." he trailed off. He's not sure that Ettie could change her Pokemon just like he could. He probably will one day ask if she want to have a joint phone or something to access the PC.
Turquoise nodded as Tetsu wonders. The tiny Squirtle hopped off from Sphalerite (with the help of his tail acting as trampoline) to Pierre.
<Pardon,> she would apologize, as her landing sure as heck wasn't the smoothest. <Tetsu, told me to help. Will shoot water at you, to cool down. Prevent heatstrokes. If you need, call. Will definitely help>
Chalcedony might be energetic, but honestly he's lot weaker than Turquoise who while tiny is definitely stronger. So this division of labor definitely will help him in the long run. Speaking of long run... the path forked. Tetsu already know where the trails leads to, while Riku seem to reinforce that assessment.
<Trails, lead to the left> he pointed at the narrow path.
<Too small,> Rutile grumbled. <Tetsu, can pass, but need to climb>
"Yeah, I'm not going to go there, I think it'll be too dangerous for me." Although Tetsu have no idea what Rutile is saying, he can roughly guess what Riku means from his bark and pointing. "I personally don't want to go there alone... Not to mention if I have to climb there and the rock crumbled that gonna be the worst, so... We'll take the safe route. Also... Ettie, catch!"
Tetsu tossed a bottle of isotonic water at Ettie. "That's a drink! Keep hydrated! It's important!"
It's another matter if Sphalerite is a Charizard though. He probably can fly all of them to the other side.
<Affirmative,> Riku nodded that their goal seem to be set. <Everyone stay close. Chalcedony, stay. Rutile, don't pick fight, with Houndour>
<Rude,> Rutile harrumphed <princess, not pick fight willy-nilly! Princess makes pack! Will find Houndour follower!>
<Precautions,> Riku reiterated <Sphalerite, protect Tetsu>
<Roger!> the Charmeleon gave a salute. <Tetsu protect, no worry!>
<Stay close,> once again the Lucario precautioned. The group immediately makes a tight line, just in case to prevent themselves from getting ambushed by the Magmar and Houndour. Rutile walked on the front, looking for potential Houndour to recruit to the group...

As Turquoise leaped on over, Pierre would - initially - make a surprised little yelp, half-stumbling in his tracks. The poor Furfrou was seeming to get a little jumpy amidst the unfamiliar grounds, and the idea of strong fire pokemon being in the area; though Ettie was quick to soothe him with a hand along his neck. "It's okay, Pierre; it's just a friend." She'd soothe, before glancing back to Turquoise and waving to the little turtle pokemon. She had a bit of a hard time understanding her, given that they had only just met...
... But Pierre seemed to get the idea, nodding a bit. <Keep us cool, please?> He'd ask softly, starting to pant a bit from both his temperatures, and his fur coat insulating that increased heat. Duchess, Princess, and Ruffian all seemed to appreciate being able to cool off as well - though Prince was notably unbothered, being a fire-type. Anne, too, was standing up pretty well to the heat; having a thinner coat of fur compared to the other canines, and being rock-type.
However, as they moved along, they would soon come to notice the trail of Larvesta scales veering off to the left, across a rather... Narrow and precarious looking path, for sure. Anne was in full agreement when the others decided against taking this path in question - and so was Pierre, although he wasn't sure if the rightmost path was that great of an idea, either. Regardless though, the Houndour would certainly catch Ettie's eye - the young girl perking up upon seeing them, off in the distance... Perhaps she could befriend one, on the way through here?
As the group decided to take the right route though, Tetsu would toss a bottle of water to Ettie - the young girl catching it deftly in her hands. Oh, a drink? "Thank you!" She'd chirp to Tetsu, immediately taking a few gulps of water from the bottle. Once she had her fill though, she would also share some of the water with the other pups - letting them each have a drink from the bottle! Was it hygenic? Probably not; but it seemed the young girl was focused on making sure everyone was at their best right now. Heatstroke was a more immediate concern than germs, after all!
And as the group set off, down the right path, Ettie would keep her eyes out to glance amongst the houndour - wondering if one of them would be happy to socialize with the group, as they all passed through! In particular, she would hop off of Pierre's back to greet some of the closer-by Houndour, immediately going down into a playbow stance, giggling happily! "Yip! Hello!" She'd greet the canid pokemon, adding "We're just passing through - but does anyone wanna play or talk while we move?"
Anne would be on a vigilant standby - not sure if these wild pokemon that Ettie was greeting would be friendly or not - and Pierre, too, fidgeted in uncertainty. Duchess, however, would join in the playbowing - yipping <Hello! Friends! Nice to meet!> to the Houndours, clearly as friendly as ever. <If not play, can spar!> Ruffian would add in comment, as cocky as ever.

Tetsu Asterite Ettie A random event has occurred! As the two approach, they feel a brief heat wave wash over them, the tail flames of the two hostile-looking Magmar roaring higher. While brief, it is intense; some less heat-tolerant Pokémon might even feel a burning sensation for a few seconds. The Houndour started barking back at Ettie's pack, and they didn't look like they were backing down. <Humans trespass holy ground. Humans leave if know what good for them.> While their mouths weren't dripping Embers, the hounds weren't afraid to show their teeth. <Will force issue if humans no leave.>STATS

It seemed that, despite one's attempt to make a good first impression, these wild pokemon were not exactly keen on visitors. The wave of heat that washed over them - and the aggression showed by Magmar and Houndour alike - would prompt Ettie to wince a little, though she'd catch the clue quite easily, backing off from the group a few paces. Duchess, too, would shy away a little - not keen on fighting if she could help it - as the pack began to regroup at Ettie's side.
Pierre, for the most part, was nervous as well; eyeing the different wild pokemon nervously. Anne and Princess both would be standing stalwart though - Anne protectively putting herself between Ettie and the Houndours, whilst Princess did the same with Duchess. Ruffian, too, was looking as though he was ready to tussle - baring his teeth right back at the Houndours, while Prince hung back nervously.
Ettie, however, was quick to speak up before a fight could break out - petting Anne and Ruffian both, to calm them both down, as she did. "I'm sorry; we don't mean any harm, to you or to your holy ground. We just want to know what's going on here, and why the weather aboveground is so warm, compared to the rest of the forest." She would state honestly, adding "We'd be happy to leave, once we know what's going on here; this is just something we've never seen happen before!"
As she spoke though, an idea would pop up in Ettie's head; prompting her to dig through her bag, and pull out some packaged Pokepuffs. Ever since Tetsu had introduced them to her back in Cerise City, she wanted to always keep some on hand, to give to her packmembers as treats! However, given the situation at hand... Perhaps they'd make a good peace offering? Opening up the package, she'd offer the puffs to the Houndours and Magmars, saying "Maybe we could be friends, and talk, instead of fighting?"
"We won't go any further in, if you could tell us what's going on, please."
As the peace offering was made though, Prince would finally speak up as well - questioning <... If holy... How to pay respect?> to the Houndours. Perhaps if there was a proper way to pay respects to this holy ground, it'd help ease these wild pokemons' moods?

Looks like they're not welcome. Riku stands the tallest, being Lucario and all. He immediately assumes fighting stance. Rutile, balked by such a hostile display was not happy and stood her ground immediately. Chalcedony, despite being being silly usually would immediately notice the situation and faces forward. He need to be battle ready! But even so, it shows that he's not really keen to fight as his legs trembled slightly. Sphalerite meanwhile took other approach. He tried his best to assume a nonthreatening manner... but if anyone would press on even then, purple flames would came out from from the sides of his mouth. Turquoise glanced at both the Magmar and Houndour, but not willing to budge from her position on top of Pierre's head. Titanite skitters back to the center of the group, not quite keen on battling immediately.
<Do not want fight> Riku finally spoke <But cannot leave either. We, want to talk.>
Rutile grumbled, but deferred to Ettie's talk. <Want to follow Larvesta. Seem know what going on here>
Sphalerite followed after <Will not harm anyone. Hear Ettie. Want to be friend.>
Tetsu seem to get the gist of it. "Really, we don't want to do anything rash over here. We'll follow you, but we really can't leave just like that. Can we reach a compromise somehow? We want to know what's going on in this place, you see. We also don't want to descerate the place either, so if you can tell us how to pay respect, we would gladly do it."

Ettie Tetsu AsteriteA random event has occurred!Ettie's gambit of a peace offering was partially successful; the smaller Magmar and Houndour seemed satisfied that the humans wouldn't at least desecrate the place, leaving the larger Pokémon to fend for themselves. The remaining Magmar's flame-hairs burned higher, shooting a burst of Embers between Ettie and Tetsu, being sure not to hit either of them. <Humans need ears cleaned,> the Magmar barked. <Next shot, won't miss. LEAVE!>

As the Ember was fired off between the duo, Ettie would yelp a little in surprise and flinch back; arms raised up in preparation to protect her face. The pack would have instant responses of their own; Pierre and Prince both shying away, and Duchess huddling close to Princess - whom gave the remaining group of pokemon a firm stare. Anne and Ruffian, however, would both respond with growls - Anne in particular snarling <Don't touch her; or won't miss either.> as she put herself between Ettie and the wild pokemon.
She wasn't afraid to put Rock Throw to good use, to protect her pack; knowing full well she had the advantage here.
As the surprise faded through, Ettie would take in a deep breath before she reached down to pat Anne's head. "It's okay, Anne." She'd state simply, glancing briefly over the wild pokemon. "Let's not bother them anymore." Getting up, Ettie was content to get up onto Pierre's back, and turn around in preparation to leave, but...
<Huhhhhhh??? Like hell I leave!> Ruffian retorted, puffing his chest out as he took a step closer to the Houndours and Magmar, a firm and challenging glare to his expression. He didn't see any reason to leave - hell, as far as he was concerned, he could probably take them all on himself! <Not leave that easily!>
<Ruffian.> Anne would growl warningly in the Lillipup's direction, clearly displeased at the Lillipup trying to cause trouble. The last thing she wanted was for any of them to get hurt from a potential fight breaking out. <We leave; now.>
As if to support Anne's command, Ettie would wave Ruffian over, calling "It's okay, Ruffian; I'm sure we can try looking elsewhere."
Ruffian, however, ignored Anne's command and Ettie's call; simply continuing to stand his ground against the wild pokemon, staring them in the eyes. <Think you big and scary, just whiny pups talking big!> He'd taunt them, tail and head raised high in a sense of superiority. <Fight me. I take you on, no problem!>
<Lose his fur, at this rate...> Princess would grumble in disapproval, as she eyed Ruffian. <Too loud for own good.>
<Should... we interfere?> Duchess wondered worriedly, glancing to Anne and Ettie both for direction. This was a bit of a stressful situation, to say the least...!

The domino effect was absurd. While the rest of the Pokemons seems to be content to talk, or maybe let Tetsu and Ettie pass, not so with a Magmar. It even goes as far as tossing an Ember between Tetsu and Ettie. Riku who saw that SNARLED, his aura flaring. Rutile followeed suit, her stone collar grows jagged as she also snarled.
<DO THAT AGAIN, YOU'RE TOAST!>
<Fool! Dare to challenge the princess!?>
"Riku, Rutile! Wait wait, it's OK, don't make the situation worse OK? We can't meet any sort of resolution like this! We can just pick the small path. It's OK alright? Let's just leave them for the meantime... We're not here to cause any sort of problem. We're here to investigate what's odd with the forest!"
<What is OK!? You got attacked!!>
Tetsu doesn't need Ettie's translation to understand that. He tried to hug Riku who grows increasingly angry for his sake. This is not good. But what breaks the growling from Tetsu's side was a tail stomp from Sphalerite.
<Chief, calm down,> he would call out. <Have a proposal.>
The Charmeleon stepped forward. The Magmar towered a foot or so above him. But even then, he's undaunted. The usually docile Sphalerite now have a serious look on his face. Riku normally wouldn't relent, but seeing that, he nodded and calmed himself down. Sphalerite would size up to the Magmar.
<This, sacred ground. We, not want to fight. But you refuse to listen. I propose: A duel.> Sphalerite would say. Then he raised one of his paw. <Tetsu strong, but he human. Fighting against you, unfair. I, strongest. Attack me, three times. Will not dodge. If I fall, you win. If three times you attack, I not fall... I attack, I win. This, oath upon sacred ground.>
The Charmeleon then spreads his arms, called the hands together soon after like a sumo wrestler. Following that, he took a mix of defensive and attack stance. <What will you do?>

Ettie Tetsu AsteriteThe Houndour and the smaller Magmar backed down after hearing Sphalerite's proposal. They stepped toward the left side of the passage, one of them peering over the cliff and toward the magma lake below. The larger Magmar faced Sphalerite. <Accepted.> With that, the fire-type inhaled before spewing several vollies of attacks toward Tetsu's partner, each strike a combination of Embers and sulfuric, toxic gases. Better take cover!

Sphalerite's challenge was accepted. The rest of the Pokemons backed away just in case shit gone south, especially considering there are sulfuric toxic gases too in the mix. Yet, Sphalerite tanked it all. First shot, the attack aimed to his chest. It's not very effective due to typing, but even so the sulfuric gas made him surprised from how it burns his nose.
U2fxhOi_p_
It might have been dangerous. Tetsu noted that rather than the ember itself, the fume is what damages him more. But even then, the Charmeleon still holds his ground. Second volley. Another hit. He did not move much, but the pain from the previous attack was already taking toll on him. High chance he'll be poisoned before the third volley. But even then, the Charmeleon holds his ground.
p_
And he was barely budging. He just took the attack straight on. The flame on his tail grows wilder as he gathered his spirit to tank the last volley. And finally, it comes. The third volley of attack, this one was particularly nasty. A big one, one beyond the first and second shot. Looks like it was concentrated ember, a last ditch move. Sphalerite gritted his teeth and mustered even more willpower to tank it...
p_
That one however ended horribly. The explosion was deafening. Collective gasps from Tetsu's Pokemons could be heard. Even Tetsu himself balled his fists, nails digging into his palm as he had to be evacuated forcefully by Riku. He only could wish that his Charmeleon was not knocked out... and then when the smoke cleared out... there was Sphalerite, slightly bleeding from the explosion, but on the sides of his mouth, purple flames concentrated. He eventually released a full powered Dragon Breath at the Magmar, concentrated in intensity, just like a laser. But does it paralyzes?
p_
...It definitely does. However, Sphalerite himself might be poisoned, and is now in really bad state. The Charmeleon only spoke one thing.
<Uphold deal. I won>
Tetsu was quick to spray him with Super Potion. He also spray him with Antidote. However, he expected that it will need more than that to recover his fatigue fully. Tetsu offered him to return to the Pokeball, but the Charmeleon only smiled and shook his head. <I am well> is all that he said to his trainer.

Things were tense, that much was for sure. From how things were looking - with the pokemon glaring eachother down - Ettie was afraid that a fight would break out between them despite her and Tetsu's attempts to keep everyone calm! However, thankfully, Sphalerite would have a proposition; a duel with what was likely the leader of this little group - or at least the strongest - to gain passage through the caves.
Even after the proposition was accepted, Ruffian was almost looking ready to join in the fight that would soon ensue nonetheless; but Pierre was quick to act this time around, scruffing and picking up the Lillipup. <H-HEY!> Ruffian would shout as he squirmed in the Furfrou's grip; though Pierre held fast, only setting Ruffian back down when they were a respectable distance away from the fight.
<... Not your fight.> Pierre would simply state then, shaking his head. Though he was a hasty and skittish soul, fleeing before fight might ever come to mind, he understood at least that they should likely be polite towards these wild pokemon. He already knew quite well, that they were overstaying a welcome that was never given as it was.
Between this though, and the sharp gaze that Anne would fixate him with, the Lillipup would soon let out a heavy sigh. <Fine..> He would mutter; simply placing himself at Ettie's side for the time being. Maybe someday, he'd be allowed to have a good fight...
As far as the fight went though, the spectacle was definitely impressive; the massive Charmeleon standing stalwart against the enemy Magmar's attacks without too much trouble. Duchess and Anne would be barking out their respective encouragements - <You can do it!> - and even Ruffian, too, would pipe in with a <Show who's boss!>
Ettie, meanwhilst, couldn't help a soft chuckle; a relieved hue over her face at the fact that things were going far better than she had initially expected. Glancing to the side though, she would see the smaller Magmar and Houndours both - idling towards the side of the cavern that she herself was waiting on. Smiling gently to the canids in question though, Ettie would scoot a little closer to them, and take out a few pokeballs. "Those pokepuffs were pretty tasty, weren't they?" She'd rhetorically ask, adding "I really like them, too; and so do my pack!"
"If you guys want more though, and perhaps to even come with us, I'd be happy to let you guys join my pack." Ettie spoke, pulling out a few pokeballs to offer to the trio. "I don't have any hard feelings for you guys wanting to protect this place; if it's special to you all, I understand that. I also understand if you guys wanna stay, because of it being so special." She continued, upon noting the looks that a few of her pokemon were casting the larger houndours.
As Ettie spoke though, the fight between Sphalerite and the huge Magmar would continue - and as an explosion shook the cave, Ettie and the pups would yelp; Pierre scrambling to huddle closer to his smaller packmates, as if to protect them! Smoke would rise amongst where Sphalerite and the Magmar were fighting - and for a few long moments, the pack would be worried for their friend's wellbeing...
... But to see the Charmeleon standing strong, and even retaliate to the Magmar's attack with a Dragon Breath, it was clear who was the victor here; and amidst the excitement and relief, a few of the packmates - Ettie included - would let out whooping howls of glee! <Friend did it!> Duchess cheered, and even Prince would murmur <Impressive...> in clear awe. Ettie, finally, would giggle and wave - calling "Good job, Sphalerite!"
<Was loud..> Princess, meanwhile, would remark with a mutter - sleepily rubbing at her eyes. Anne, though, would simply nod respectfully to Sphalerite; visibly impressed, herself.
With the fight out of the way though to no longer interrupt the talk that Ettie was trying to have with the Houndours, she would turn her attentions back towards them - concluding "It's your guys' choice whether any of you wanna come with me or not. I'd love to be friends with you all, if possible, though!"

Ettie Tetsu Asterite Ettie threw several different Poké Balls!9oJsc7g1p_--- p_p_--- p_Two of the Houndour were captured successfully, but the third broke free! One Ultra Ball and one Nest Ball are removed from your inventory. One of the larger Houndour and the smaller Houndour seemed eager to join Ettie's pack, but the larger one had a sly smile on her face; if Ettie was paying attention, it seemed like all she wanted to do was sow distrust and disarray within the pack. The rest of the Pokémon yielded to the two humans. The path the wilds were guarding spiraled closer to the crater, the heat growing even more. It was a good thing they had water-types spraying them down frequently! Before long, the path curved away from the crater and into an opening, the walls slowly shifting from darker rock to a much brighter rock, almost marble-like in color. Chiseled into the white floor ahead of them was a large insignia of a gaudy-looking torch, the emblazoned part even whiter than the surrounding rock. The "flame" on the torch was composed of bright reds and yellows. and extended for a far greater distance than normal torch fire would. ···

To rest Sphalerite, Tetsu did not ride him for a while and just decided to walk. Gosh, he's going to need new shoes doesn't he? Thank goodness for Chalcedony and Sapphire really. Otherwise his shoes gonna smells of burnt rubber by now. What is even here anyway? At this point Tetsu aren't even sure if they're going to get down to the reason why the forest having such strange climate, but... In the end, he keeps preserving. Riku on the other hand seem to be glad that the naughty one was excluded. All thing considered... That one sounded like a bad addition all over. They have dodged a bullet, so he decided to stay silent, while at the same time glancing at Rutile. He was thankful that Rutile seem to understand with a simple glance that it's best to not recruit the naughty one. He don't think that one will be a good addition to the team at all. Rutile seem to agree with him, albeit feeling a bit conflicted. She really wanted a new packmate for herself! One that will follow her order as an alpha! She also want them to be someone she could trust her back to! It's not that she doesn't trust Tetsu's other Pokemons, but they... are not really canine!
"Hmmm...?" Tetsu mused out loud. The looks... changed. It looked like some... some temple or sort... He blinked owlishly several times. ".....Torches..." he mused again. "...This..." He mused which Legendary would it be with torches. Tao Trio would have caught his attention already with different design, so excluding them... Victini... no, not Victini, it's deep in the mountain... Groudon... No, not quite, Groudon would have lining on the floor, not torch... It's also possibly not Heatran...
"...Ho-oh... I think," Tetsu concluded. Then chill ran down his spine. Holy place, legendary... he was only half joking when he said it, but now with the possibility of it being real... What on Arceus' name are they getting involved in here!?

With the two newest pack members, Ettie would smile and stroke a hand over either pokeball. "I'll have to figure out names for you two; assuming the two of you want any names!" She'd muse out loud with a thoughtful hum, before glancing over to the rest of her pack. "Though first..." ... She'd have to switch out two of her pack members, to let the Houndours out, right? Which two would she switch out...
Well, Ettie could already see that Princess was getting quite sleepy - and Pierre, too, was panting a bit even with the water-types to cool everyone off... So maybe those two would be the best ones to switch out? "Princess, Pierre, do you two wanna switch out for now?" She'd ask the two - to which Princess wouldn't even answer, simply yawning as she went straight into her pokeball without any further adieu.
Pierre, meanwhile, would nod - murmuring <Mm.. Be careful?> to Ettie. He was a bit worried, about leaving the pack to their own devices in such a dangerous looking place... The young girl, though, would nod; responding "I promise," with a warm smile, as the Furfrou returned to his ball next.
Which would leave room for the two Houndours, who were idly mingling amongst the remainder - Duchess' tail wagging eagerly, as she sniffed the duo. <Friends! Friends!> She would yip, briefly nipping at the two in a playful fashion as she bounced about them.
The gentle Houndour would regard Duchess with a calm and somewhat neutral - yet curious - hue, watching the Electrike's bouncing about. As Duchess came near though, the Houndour would respond with a gentle bunt of her head - murmuring <Hello; you're a playful one...> both in greeting, and in observation. She wasn't sure what to make of the Electrike, to be honest - but she wasn't bothered by the other's enthusiasm, finding it endearing in fact.
<Welcome to pack,> Anne would greet, tail calmly wagging as both she and the gentle Houndour sniffed eachother briefly.
The sassy Houndour, meanwhile, would be staring Ruffian down; the Lillipup meeting that gaze easily, despite being much smaller. On one hand, it was clear that Ruffian still wanted a fight - a fight that would have to wait until after this discovery. But on the other hand, the sassy Houndour saw Ruffian as ignorant - someone who did not understand the significance of this place. Were the Houndour to have his way, Ruffian wouldn't even be allowed through the mouth of the cave, let alone to tread the forest above...
... But a deal was a deal; and to protest would be to go against one's own word.
Thus, the group would soon make their way deeper through the cave - down towards a large chamber of sorts; white stone emblazoned with a mysterious torchlike insignia.... When the two Houndours would stop in their tracks a respectable distance from the insignia, Ettie and the rest of the pack would follow the duo's lead; Ettie in particular deciding to sit down in a knelt position alongside the canids, as she admired the mural on the wall.
As Tetsu spoke up about his theory about the torch being a symbol of Ho-oh, Ettie would tilt her head a little, glancing at the torch. "I... Kind of thought it looked a bit like a Larvesta, or maybe a Volcarona?" She'd admit. "With the middle bit being all white like one, with the red and yellow branching off like fire," She'd make a gesture with her fingers to convey the way the fire branched off of the torch, smiling a bit sheepishly at Tetsu. "We had found those Larvesta scales around here too, so maybe there's a mama Volcarona?"
Admittedly, she didn't know what a Volcarona looked like - she was only going off of what a Larvesta looked like to guess what a Volcarona must be like. But then again, this could be Ho-oh; she didn't know what that looked like, either!
Switching out Princess and Pierre for the two currently nameless (but will be named Barbara and Alexander)

Ettie Tetsu AsteriteAs the two made their way deeper into the marble chamber, farther and farther from the crater, the heat started to drop off. It was still uncomfortable, just no longer unbearable. The Larvesta scales the two had initially followed to reach the interior of the mountain continued deep into the marble passageway. Following them, the two were able to see their source: a pair of brightly-glowing, rather large Larvesta that made it difficult to discern exactly where the white walls began and ended. It seemed eager to talk to the Pokémon they had out; particularly warning them of the holy presence within the large room. Behind the Larvesta, the two could make out a life-sized, marble carving of a majestic-looking Pokémon that nearly filled the larger chamber. Solid white, the statue's bird-like wings but dragon-like face couldn't help but drive feelings of awe and majesty. Its short tail was shaped like a giant torch, though it was only short relative to its body size. Something within the room appeared to be trying to initiate telepathic communication with Tetsu, as well.
