Day by day, Ettie was gaining new pokemon to add to her pack; the varieties of pokemon to her name growing. However, amidst the growing pack, there was a question in the young girl's mind that she would - only now - begin to consider:
How does one ride on a pokemon?
Anne, Duchess, Princess, Ruffian... They were all too small to carry Ettie, as one might expect. Neither were two of Ettie's three additions - two Popplios named Cassie and Aurien - big enough to carry Ettie. However... The third addition - a Furfrou by the name of Pierre - was perhaps the biggest of the pack now! Standing at 5'10'', he easily towered over the 4'4'' Ettie; which likely meant that he was plenty big, for him to carry Ettie on his back, right?
Which brought Ettie and Pierre to now; the young girl giggling, as she climbed up onto the Furfrou's back. "This is gonna be fun, right Pierre?" Ettie mused out loud - smiling brightly as she shifted to right herself onto the canine's back proper! "We get to go for a nice run, 'round the Training Grounds, just like this!"
Pierre, meanwhile, would be in a crouched position - so as to make it easier for Ettie to climb onto his back - although as he was questioned, he would make an unsure noise in response. <... You secure there?> He'd only ask in response, gingerly rising up to his feet.
"Yep! Super secure!" Ettie chirped in turn, giggling as she knotted her fingers in Pierre's fur, and gently nudged him with her heel. "C'mon, c'mon! Let's go!"

Again, Pierre would be a little unsure - making a soft whine in his throat, at the young girl's encouragement. He didn't want to go too fast, only for her to fall off! If she fell, she could get really hurt, he believed; despite his back being relatively low to the ground! However, he didn't want to disappoint her, either; not when she was smiling so brightly and eagerly. Thus, at Ettie's encouragement, he would begin at a slow trot along the track - occasionally glancing back at Ettie, to make sure that everything was okay.
Ettie, meanwhile, could only let out a happy giggle; nuzzling her cheek against the back of Pierre's head, as her aura tail wagged eagerly. "Whee, here we go!" She'd chirp happily, clearly having a ball with this ride, even if Pierre was going at a relatively slow pace. So far, so good; Ettie had no trouble, in staying on the Furfrou's back! "You're doing great, Pierre; let's pick up the pace a little!"
Once more, Pierre was unsure about going faster; though Ettie was able to stay on his back just fine, even as he took a turn, could she handle faster? <... You sure?> He would question, after a moment of thought; and though he sounded calm and lax on the surface, his thoughts were surely going a hundred miles per second.
"Yeah! Yeah!" Ettie happily chirped, giggling as she nudged Pierre with her heels once more. "It's okay, I think I got a good grip on you!"
'I think' was not exactly reassuring, but... Pierre, hesitantly, would pick up the pace some - going into a jog now, along the riding track.

Much to Pierre's relief though, it seemed that Ettie had a perfect grasp on staying upright on his back - the Furfrou even being able to eventually go up to a run, and jump a couple of hurdles, without Ettie wavering even in the slightest. And all the while, the young girl would be whooping and cheering in pure excitement, visibly enjoying the experience that they were having! "You're doing great, Pierre!" Ettie would praise, smiling warmly. "Let's go one more lap, okay?"
At Ettie's praise and suggestion, Pierre couldn't help a light wag of his tail - reassured that he could probably carry Ettie just fine, once they went out onto the road proper. Responding with a wordless bark of acknowledgement and agreement, he would continue to gallop at a steady pace around the bend; even finding himself getting a feel for carrying Ettie on his back proper, as they rode - understanding how both of their weights would shift on turns, on jumps, and on even the slightest changes in speed.
By the time that Pierre would reach the finish line for the track proper, Ettie would giggle with glee, as his tail wagged - coming to a slow and gradual stop, and crouching low, so that Ettie could slide off his back proper. "That was fun, wasn't it, Pierre?" She'd question, once back on her feet proper - happily grinning as she pet her hand through the fur along his neck.
And Pierre, in response, would smile and nod. That, indeed, wasn't as bad as his hasty mind initially thought it to be.·
